Was extremely fun to build and took me about 5 hours to complete, though I like to take my time building. All the pieces were included and the build is really solid. Quality is on par with lego, and the customizability is also cool. Would definitely consider picking this up if you love lego/cars.

I've heard good things about Mattel's entry into the building set space and I wanted to give them a try and see for myself. First and foremost: it's very cool to have a building block set that includes a special Hot Wheels die-cast car. This 1963 Corvette is beautiful.
**Instructions**
Mattel's instruction book is every bit as high-quality as any LEGO book ever made. It's full-color and includes facts and information about the set, its designers, and the real-life inspiration. This set includes appendices for changing the appearance of the set after the build. One weird thing about these instructions is that each section uses two numbered bags instead of one, even when the two bags are both very small and could have been consolidated without any confusion.
**Brick Quality**
Here's where the Mattel set really differs from LEGO. Most knock-off bricks will have molding flaws on the studs or recesses and you kind of just expect that from Temu sets or whatever you find on Amazon/eBay. Mattel's bricks are a high-quality plastic but you can clearly see molding flaws on the bricks. Luckily, unlike Temu sets, the molding flaws don't interfere with the bricks' interlocking functions. The wall thickness is good and makes for a sturdy brick. Another nice touch in this set is the shiny, sparkly gray brick color that reads as metallic and looks great.
**Final Build**
Given the choice between two sets of licensed American Racing wheels, multiple configurations of air dam, spoiler, and fender flares makes this is a really fun and creative build. The result is a beautiful and accurate brick-built Corvette that you can display and play with because of its quality, as well as a special die-cast Hot Wheels car that you can't just buy off the shelf. It's not official LEGO, there's no companion phone app, and there are noticeable molding flaws but this one gets a recommendation from me. Anyone can enjoy this set.

Beautiful and Accurate

Lego quality build, excellent directions, had two choices  of builds competition(race) or standard (stock),good small details throughout the car,the stripes were already on hood,top,etc pieces. I went with  metal competition racing style wheels on my stock build car.The kit came with a Hot Wheels car version of the build also and a key fob that can be attached to the bottom of the car both nice touches .

Mattel Corvette Grand Sport Build

This has turned out to be a real feather in Mattel's cap for a Lego compatible build. The quality of the parts is above average and the quality of the rear windshield puts LEGO to shame. The part was wrapped in tissue to protect it from scratches. And instead of the LEGO style plain old cheap plastic, This on e has a shiny black frame around the window etc. At this great price. I say go for it. You can't go wrong. I have already ordered the Mercedes.

Go for it. You won't be disappointed.
