I am a bit surprised that some people hate these, but I guess to each their own. I purchased these over the Old Wisconsin beef sticks because they don't have nitrates and should be a bit healthier. I like the more fresh tasting and less dried meat feel to them, but if you are looking for more of the traditional drier meat stick, then maybe you won't like them. They are VERY long and need to be cut in half. Even the serving size is for 1/2 stick, so I'm not sure why they just don't make them half the size, but I just break them in half.

We really like them

These are great snack sticks with great flavor!! They have a great price point compared to some of the other non-refrigerated brands I've seen. A few times I have found a tough piece in them when chewing but that is prob to be expected with most snack sticks due to the grinding process!

Great protein snack for my growing 9 y/o son

Good at first. By the time we got to the 4th package in the bunch, got tired of them. No, we didn't need to eat them all within a week, but we have 5 kids, so these go fast. Would prefer the sticks were half the length. Easier to just grab one and not be sick of it half way through. I will say they were a hit at our New Years party, but I sliced them into ~1 inch bite size pieces and paired with some cheese cubes. Of course, this allowed everyone to grab a small amount at a time which plays up to the strengths of these meat sticks. Best in smaller quantities. Find a friend to share a stick with rather than tackle the whole thing alone, especially after you have been snacking on them for a week!  Please note that these kick butt compared to something like Slim Jims (1 star) or even Jack Links sticks (2 stars), but these are 4 to a pack, huge and also not refrigerated - translation not as easy to take with you for the day which to snack on later which knocked off a star for me.

Watch the expiration date. I had 2 packages go bad before the expiration date. I also had 3 packages sold to me within 2 days of expiring and 1 package after the expiration date. I typically do curbside pickup so I wasn't able to pick for myself.

Horrible, I have had them before and loved them but lately they have been slimy and inedible at purchase.

Beef sticks arrived with expiration date of the next day. Immediately put them in my freezer, hoping they will still be good later.

I eat tons of beef sticks, purchased at local grocery stores, As well as meat markets on occasion. These earn my 1 star rating. Every single stick is filled with hard particles. Hard enough to injure or irritate an already sensitive tooth. Every other item I've purchased at Sam's has been wonderful. It's surprising that a quality control inspector, at the plant that makes these, thinks these are acceptable.

Won't be buying these again

This snack stick is about 95% fat inside. You can literally break it open and see there is little meat inside. It's like they just used left over trimmings to make these. There also appears to be some type of powdery filler inside. Very misrepresented and I think someone is pulling a fast one.
