The 20 KW generator we purchased had some wiring issues from the factory that should have been caught before shipment to my location. One of the sensing wires was completely cut into at the assembly plant and it took several days, plus another service company that services generac generators to find the problem. The quality control needs to be looked at and the units load tested before shipment. Other that that I am pleased with the performance since the wiring issues has been fixed.

My wife and I saved up several years to purchase a emergency generator for our home and we decided, after careful consideration of all other products, on a Generac. We could not have made a better choice. It works when needed and is quiet and efficient and does not let us down. Here where we I've, weather can be extreme and this unit gives us peace of mind knowing we will have power when needed any almost any situation. We know we made a great purchase.

Emergency Power Peace of Mind

Love the unit; it is very efficient and a must have for our area.  Unfortunately the factory quality assurance was lacking as the natural gas fitting was completely cracked--which is heavy gauge metal.  This should not have been missed during a quality assurance inspection.  Luckily the installer identified the defect right away and was corrected in a week.

Great Product Quality Assurance needs improvement

Two days after it was installed the power company shut the power off for 8 hours to make improvements in their equipment.  Who would believe what perfect timing ?  I was able to do whatever I wanted during that time frame--would not have realized my electricity was off.  I only regret not getting this years ago.

Had an amazing test

The Generac Stand By Generator is well known in the market place as a best in class product. The residential product line is well designed, scalable to meet the needs of the household, and the operational features are excellent.

I am very satisfied with my purchase of this equipment.

The Product is very impressive; appearance, functionality, and capability

Upon examination of our unit when it was delivered it appears well engineered and built in a high quality manner. After hook up it does seem a little loud, but in-as-much as this will only be running when the power is out (and short tests) it is tolerable.

The real test of the unit is the next time our power fails. My expectation is I, and my wife, will be very pleased.

Very Pleased so far

The 20,000 kw generator works as advertised. during a recent power outage it took 9 seconds to come on and restore power.
My only negative comment is the generator is quite noisy. Is there possibly another muffler available that will make the unit more quite without reducing the engine power?

Works as advertised but quite noisy

Well so far I'm impressed with the unit but really haven't had it put to work yet because the power hasn't failed yet, BUT I know it will at some point. I look at it as having purchased insurance, you never know when you'll use it but at some point you'll have a need. The only disappointment I have so far is that the 20KW and smaller units no longer come with the skirting that goes around the bottom of the unit to complete the cosmetic appearance of the unit. I'm told you must purchase a 22kw or larger unit in order to get the skirting which I think should be included with all units. That being said I do like the unit and look forward to seeing how it performs when it's called to do its duty.

The Generator seems like a good overall system

The generator I received had already been opened and parts missing and broken could not hook up. It had rusty spots inside. Very very disappointed, as I have been a member for a long time. This is something I cannot return because of the weight  of this. I sure hope that this can be taken care of. This item had been bought and returned I guess. I need some kind of recompense for my expense and time fooling with this.

I will buy local from now on so I can get service

Purchasing was easy and quick. After having this installed professionally, it would not operate. The local dealer is not at all cooperative in assessing the problem. 
Not very happy about the whole situation right now.
