The overall diameter is nowhere near 28.7 inches. Unmounted, it measures about 25.5 inches. If I were to mount it, I estimate it would be no more than 27.5 inches. It will not replace my 29-inch tires. The tires appear to be of good quality and well-built, but they are undersized. I ordered the 30 X 10 X 15 hoping for a 29".
