Standard Issue

Great ammo box, but I can't understand why Sam's wants $19.98 while WalMart sells them for $13.74.

Great but pricey...

You can put a padlock on it all you need to do is pick up a Locking Hardware for Steel Ammo Cans Box Ammunition Can.   You drill the hole screw it in and tight the nuts.  Take and have the screw spot welded on the inside right smack in front of the nut.  And your done.

GREAT   HEAVY DUTY.  ONLY STARS CUZ U  CAN NOT PUT A  LOCK ''PAD LOCK '' ON IT  AT ALL AND ITS VERY HARD TO OPEN  ALSO.

It is not the same as a military issued .50 cal ammo can.

You are better off getting the "Stout Stuff Metal Ammo Box" it is cheaper and just a bit smaller than this (I mean just a bit). 

Don't get me wrong, the ammo can does its job; but when compared to an actual .50 cal military issued ammo can this item is A LOT smaller.

Save you money and move on.

I received the 2 ammo boxes that I ordered today. One of them has a piece of metal "protruding out" from the container on the bottom; I cut my leg (2" gash) right above my knee when I unpacked it and placed it on my lap. I was bringing it from the floor, across my knee area to set it on my lap to open it up for the 1st time, then I felt something sharp scratch across my skin. The piece of metal was chipped after the box had been painted, because the gash in the box left a shiny lifted spot on the box with the pulled away part sticking out. The quality control wasn't performed prior to shipping out from production. It left an appropriate 2-inch cut on my leg, right above my knee. It bled a lot, but after applying pressure, the bleeding finally stopped. The other ammo box is in perfect condition, no defects.
