Fever-Tree Ginger Beer is just that---ginger beer, not ginger ale.  It is made from fermented ginger root, has an alcohol content of about 0.05%---1 Proof---and is zingy as heck!  It's that last part that I L*O*V*E!  If you're a fan of ginger and are looking for something bolder and more complex than traditional ginger ale, this is the beverage for you. It's meant to be used as a mixer; however, Fever-Tree is great straight.  Give it a try.

I had some fevertree ginger beer at my daughter’s house and loved it. Had to have some for me.

Love this brand of ginger beer, I normally don't like canned drinks but these were very good, just wish the can was larger.

Pure ginger

I prefer the bottles, they’re less expensive and more per serving. I don’t love aluminum cans.

While this is one of the best commercial ginger beers, it does contain an excess of sugar, and the advertising on site is deceptive. While the actual cans state "5 oz." the photograph is taken just so that that is not visible.

As mixers, these are one drink per can.

The can size is smaller than a mini size, which was surprising.  I was expecting a bigger can. The glass bottle offers a much better spicy ginger flavor than the can.  The Fever Tree brand is the best brand for ginger beer, but the can makes the drink taste very different than the bottle.

Different Taste from the Glass Bottle

I’ve long been a fan of the bottled Fever Tree ginger beer, and would stock up on the infrequent occasions when it was available in club. I haven’t seen it in a long while, so made an order of this canned product. I was a little disappointed when truly tiny cans showed up (my fault for not reading the description of the size more carefully) but the worst part is that the taste is much more mild than the old ginger beer in the glass bottle. Almost like ginger ale. Do the aluminum cans change the taste? Did the recipe change? I don’t know, but when I use up this order, I’ll be sourcing bottles from another supplier, even if it’s more expensive, to see if I get that characteristic kick back.

While I like the drink, this packaging is deceptive. It's  3 x 8= 24 FIVE OUNCE CANS. Previously, it was sold in 12oz bottles in store. Like most I don't convert ml to ounces and I assumed 12oz cans. With shipping 3 times as much as the bottles were in store. Won't buy again!

I absolutely love Fever Tree. I always stock up on the bottles when Sams has them for a limited time before Christmas. I drink it straight, not as a mixer. My problem is the size & price of these cans. These are smaller than a mini can. 3 sips, gone. I didn’t know such a small can existed. It won’t happen again. What a joke.

Fever tree is good, but high in sugar; and i mean, come on, 5oz can is like playing with doll house food.
