I'm glad that  I was able to find the Basmati Brown rice!! I love the flavor and texture because it stays firm.

I bought this at my club (Lansing) last year to try. I liked it very well for it's conveinience and taste.  It comes out nice and fluffy in just 15 to 20 minutes as opposed to about an hour for regular Basmati Rice.  I made a big batch of 30 servings in the oven and it turned out perfectly for a dinner for out youth.  The kids ate it up.  I wanted to get more but my club no longer carried it.  I couldn't even order it online.  I finally found that the Saginaw and Flint clubs carried it so I went up there and stocked up on it.  I wish they would start carrying it again in my club.

great rice cooks fast!

Im really surprised at the bad reviews. We love this rice. The grains stay separate and don't mush together. It's clean, healthy and fast. I like to add lime and fresh cilantro. I was so bummed it was out of stock at my last visit to Sam's. I did not add salt, just water and olive oil.

Awesome Brown Rice

I'm surprised to see other bad reviews but this is the best organic brown rice that can be cooked quick. This tastes so good and has the best, true fragrance of brown rice. I was so happy to see this product in my local sam's club but very sad right now that I don't see it anymore.

Quality brown Rice

I can't imagine anyone who admits to eating brown Minute Rice not liking this product, the taste is far superior. It cannot possibly taste like cardboard, as it is packed and shipped in plastic. I love the taste of brown rice but hate the gluey texture and interminable cooking time. I love the taste, smell and texture of white basmati rice, but...it's white rice. Ecolife = best of both worlds. It is so hard to mess this rice up (cooking-wise) that you must actually be TRYING to mess it up if you do. No rinsing necessary, always fluffy, separate grains, great scent and chewy texture....what on earth is there to complain about. I go 30 miles out of my way to buy 5 bags at a time. If possible, I'll start having it shipped to my house.

If You Don't Have the Rest of Your Life to Cook...

I don't usually like any type of instant rice but this has got to be the best I've ever tried. Way better than the nasty Minute Rice brown rice. The grains stay separate and fluffy. I do cook it in the microwave for 15 minutes instead of the twelve stated on the package (twenty minutes when I cook a cup and a half.)

The best brown rice

This is basically instant rice. It takes a little longer than Minute Rice, but it's precooked to shorten the cook time in your kitchen. It doesnt have quite the same taste and texture of regular brown rice, but it is still pleasant. I like having it as an option to put together a quick prep dinner.  For being what it is - quick cook brown rice - it's very good.

Good and fast

Bought this not realizing that it was quick cooking.   If you are accustomed to traditional basmati and/or brown rice,  this stuff will not cut it.  It lacks the fragrance of basmati and the chewy texture of brown rice.   I can't believe I have 4 pounds of the stuff.
