Dependable but pricey

I put a pair of these in my sailboat, where they dont get much of a charge, and they always can produce the amps to start my big old VW diesel when I need it. I trust these batteries to sail far offshore and run my Nav equipment and lights for many hours. In fact, I am purchasing another pair of them today to replace the other battery bank. My only beef is that they were almost a year old sitting on the shelf at Sams....I wish they kept fresher pairs.

Junk

I bought this battery for a Jayco RV. Used it two weeks the first season, stored it indoors and kept it topped up. Went to use it the second season and it had developed a bad cell. Was replaced under the warranty. Used it again and same problem the following season. I use a Black and Decker DCS charger which has an AGM setting. Called the support line and they do not recommend chargers, so I will never know if it is the charger or just bad batteries.
