They were easy to install, except for crawling to the edge of the rafters on our porch.  It would be better if they used 100 foot cables instead of just 60 foot.  They were cheap to order, but 100 foot would probably be a better fit for bigger houses like ours.  The clarity is superb and great for loading to our phones.  Just wish we could stream on our computer, as well.

Clear ang great quality

These cameras are wonderful.  I like that each camera does not need its own power adapter.  We can put 4 camera lines per power adapter.  That’s something we had an issue with when it came to a different company.  We ordered the 16-channel unit from Defender and it covers a 5000 square ft area easily.  We love the quality of the images and how easy it is to use the system.

Overall a good camera system. The night video is adequate. The day video is great. No sound. They did not include much on how to actually install and adjust the cameras. I figured it out, I hope. I unscrewed the base and installed it first, then screwed the camera onto the base and used the adjuster screw to tighten the camera in it's final position. If you plan to view your cameras on a tv and are away from the DVR, I suggest a wireless mouse. It will allow you to sit on your couch and scroll through your cameras and change settings etc. They should have included a remote. The wireless app seems to work fine as far as I can tell so far. Overall, a good system.

Nice cameras

This is the second unit I have bought. The system has great features which I like. The problem is only 3 out of 4 cameras worked. I had purchased a unit with 8 cameras before and only 7 out of 8 worked. I called the company and did not get a resolution. Just be ware.

Straight out of the box the DVR was not working and they continuously kept implying I must of connected something wrong and after proving to them numerous times it was the dvr that was not functional they finally replaced it for me but I also had trouble with my 4 camera it doesn’t work either I’ve checked the ports the cable everything even the camera settings as they instructed  works as it should it’s simply the camera it self that isn’t functioning and they still haven’t replaced it for me they continue giving me a hard time I’ve sent them pictures of everything being connected correctly and everything and they’ll take days to answer me back with an other excuse horrible product I DO NOT!!!!!!! Recommend I suggest purchasing either Swann or Night Owl cameras I have installed several of those systems and they haven’t given me any problems what so ever so please do not waist your time or hard earned money on this worthless system

no defense for defender

Dissatisfied, a camera does not work. Basically, I tried to contact the product's customer service and they do not respond as they should. It seems like a ghost company. does not comply with the warranty rules.

One of camera does not work

It was easy to install and setup. However, 2 of the cameras were defective right out of the box and customer support was non existent as there are no phone number that you can call except through emails only. Wasted my time so not recommended.

NOT USER FRIENDLY !!! Very complicated to setup....was recording everything and when I turned on motion activated now it records nothing...expensive mistake on my part.
