I purchased this product as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She really loves it and has thanked me more than once for it. It was a last minute gift and It got here really fast..I might get one for myself latter. The windows quad core nextbook tablet is a wonderful processor

Charge cable is a little tight in and out. But the Windows OS has far exceeded my expectations and is a million times better than any Android OS I have ever used. I have an iPhone I will always stick with, but when it comes to Windows vs. Android... You better believe Windows is the greater OS and far more for your money. $99! you can't beat that. Period. With $300 office software and an extra 16gb of memory, it's unbelievable how they make money off of this. I was expecting cheap construction/quality, but am 100% satisfied with the durability. I've bought one for every family member.

Best tablet I've ever owned

This little textbook has all the features of Microsoft 8.1. At this point, I am not sure where the difference is between this and a laptop. The price is unbelievable considering the features. Too new for me to judge completely until I have more time to "play" with it. I do not use it for games.

Amazing

This tablet works great I love it, Windows 8.1 allows me to run all kinds of programs, games & apps. I purchased a 64GB Micro SD card and installed my favorite windows programs on it so I have plenty of room. This tablet is fast too, it boots up fast, shuts down fast I love it, better than my expensive HP laptop computer. I even play Forge of Empires with this tablet. You can spend a lot more money for a tablet but that doesn't mean it's any better. This tablet does it all, it plays mp3's, m4v format movies, you tube, even Netflix works perfectly. There is just one con, if you download apps from the Microsoft store you can't direct where they go, they automatically go to C: drive and will fill up fast. I'm told this is a problem only on windows 8.1 and you cannot change the path even with regedit.exe. However, if you download regular windows programs such as those available from CNet and others you can direct the installation to D: drive which is the SD card. Using this method I'm able to store and run all kinds of programs.

I love this Tablet

I was looking for something more portable than a laptop, and something that runs Windows 8.1, something inexpensive. This fits the bill. Paring it with a WIFI hot spot gives me internet access while traveling by motorcycle or with my small camper. Also works great for coffee shop WIFI.

A stylus does help and I'm thinking a bluetooth mouse would be even better. A case of some sort that allows it to be propped up for easier viewing would be a good accessory.

Handy portable device for web surfing

If you are looking for a surface pro, please don't even bother. My rating for this tablet is a combination of performance and price. At the price I bought this one at, it just cannot be beat. If you are looking for an android, buy and android. If you want an Ipad, buy an Ipad. If you are looking for a companion for your desktop then this it. There are at least two name brand windows 8 tablets around the same price as this one with better screens. If you don't want to take your chance on an off brand then don't. If you are like me an figured its only 100 bucks then this is your tablet. I have this tablet hooked up to a monitor (It is the only one at this price to have a micro hdmi) and I have a keyboard and mouse hooked up via usb. This is not a windows RT tablet, this is the actual windows. I love the freedom of when I surf the net I can search the actual net, not the mobile version or anything like that. This tablet comes with Microsoft app store but I have no reason to use it. I dont need the Netflix app when I can just go to their website and see it perfectly the way it was originally made to. I cannot imagine why anyone that loves gadgets the way I do would pass this thing up. I bought one and I am extremely happy with it. All of this plus that 8 inch screen seems just right. Do yourself a favor and buy this thing, you wont regret it.

For 99 bucks you cant beat it!

I'm an IT professional and know what to expect for the money spent and will say that so far this little "PC" has exceeded expectations. There was a hitch right out of the box and I almost returned it, so I suspect that their Quality Control could use more focus. I had to do a Win 8.1 system restore to get the touchscreen to behave, but since then it's been flawless. Screen quality it not exceptional, but I'd say it's excellent for the price. My only complaint is that they didn't go for installing 2 GB of memory for a slightly higher price point. You have to be choosy about what you install and I had a hard time getting Quicken 2015 to run, because it requires at least 1 GB of memory and you don't actually get that once everything loads, so Quicken balks. Nevertheless, I got Quicken running with some tweaking and that makes me happy, since it's the primary software application I use at home.

If you're looking for a cool little Windows 8 tablet for not too much money, don't hesitate -- grab it now. It's a PC in a small package. It's the "Dad toy" to play with Christmas morning.

I had a few doubts, but no regrets now

Just received this Saturday the 29th so its still a learning process. I'll update later as I go forward. Not a big issue but the power button does have to be held down a bit longer than other tablets I have when 1st turning on n booting. Its pretty neat for the cheapo price. Win 8.1, 32 bit, 1Gb ram, 16Gb storage and when I got it received a 16Gb SD card with it. Has micro-hdmi for streaming video/audio and outputting to a larger display.. Bluetooth, front web cam and back cam for taking pics. Only 2 mpixels tho..

Bottom line I do not recommend this if you plan to activate and use Office 365. U need a Win 8 tablet with a minimum of 32 Gb onboard. Least its my recommendation.. It will consume a vast amount of the 5.5 Gb free of storage you'll have after running n installing most of the pertinent important security updates which to me are way more important than any office suit.. Nice to have a little hand held pc around the house for a back-up n on the go usage...

Good... but with limited perfomance...

I bought one of these tablets on Black Friday specifically because it came with a free year of Office 365, but the first tablet I took home was missing the app needed to activate the free year, I took it back and exchanged it for a second tablet which did, indeed, have the app, but the second tablet died as I was setting it up, so back to Walmart I went for a third time and the third tablet had the app and has been working like a charm for four days straight now....Other than what appears to be some iffy quality control, this seems to be a great product. I'm very happy!

Overall pretty good value for the money

I tried the nextbook 8 android and wasn't happy with it due to the screen being hard on the eyes. This one has use's windows 8 and appears to have better resolution but you can't resize the text size and native windows programs are hard to pick with a finger or even a touch pen. If this included a keyboard like the 10 inch version the rating would have been a 3/4 star due to the value. This might have the same tech as the larger 10 inch version but it just seems slow. Go for the 10 inch for the extra $50. Worth it on you eyes, fingers and is a great deal for the 10 inch nextbook.

Go for the nextbook 10 inch

I picked this up yesterday and was excited to have a Windows 8.1 tablet for a great price. But boy was I disappointed! First the Pros:
1. Great looking and great size for a mobile device. The screen resolution was really great.
Now the Cons:
1. Had hiccups while initial update. Not all touch features were available immediately. They became "active" as I went along.
2. No way to turn off an app or uninstall it. Windows does allow this but this hardware just did not.
3. Then on a reboot it froze and that was it. It stayed frozen for several hours so I packed it up and returned it.
