Excellent heavy duty stainless steal. TRY Infrared technology really works; almost eliminates flare-ups. Cooks over 800 degrees for restaurant quality steaks, and as low as 200 degrees for indirect cooking for ribs. Doesn't seem to use as much fuel as other grills I've had.

I've had my Charbroil 3-Burner for 15 months and have had an outstanding experience. It's very reliable, cleans up easily and the ability to put wood chips directly on the cooking grates provides the best flavors I have experienced in many many years of outdoor propane bbqing. No problems.......great results!

Great barbeque!

First off, it is a lot of work to assemble. If you are all thumbs, you might consider having a professional assemble this grill. That being said all the parts were there as were all the connectors, washers, etc. The assembly instructions are all pictures. I spent as much time deciphering the pictures as I did in the actual assembly. Once assembled it is heavy and strong.

Cooking will take getting used to. Crank it up to high and let it heat. My first batch of burgers came out not as good as with the previous conventional Char-Broil propane grill. I had the heat too low and the stainless steel grills tended to cause sticking. Re-read the instructions, thawed a BIG porterhouse, heated the grill to high, seasoned and sprayed some high temperature cooking oil onto the steak and threw it on. Amazing grill marks, no sticking, really good crust. Flip, let cook and eat. Delicious. As close to a real charcoal bar-b-que as you can get with propane.

I purchased this online and ship to home was free. FedEx must have dropped this off the truck somewhere as it was badly damaged. I returned the grill and did not reorder. They had changed the cooking grate design from what was shown online. I would not recommend.

Ship to home a disaster

The product arrived on time, but damaged. The monolithic grill portion was dented by the ignite button and I didn't notice until I had assembled the entire thing. I'm upset that my $350+ purchase came pre-dented, but I'm also not interested in putting another grill together so I'm a bit torn. On top of that, the fit/finish of the cabinet portion is a bit off and the doors are about 1/4 of an inch off at the top when closed. I haven't checked the accuracy of the three temp probes, but their accuracy is also suspect.

As for grilling, we've used it once and it seemed to do a decent job. The TRU-Infrared grill plates are stainless steel, which is nice, but cleaning them with a brush like you would with standard grill plates is out of the question.

Looks decent, but fit/finish is lacking

This is my second grill from Char Broil. The grill is really good does a much better job as compared to non infra reds. 
But the problem is heat shield. This piece is the weakest and most useless piece in the whole build? It will rust and fall of little after a year. The piece comes rewetted as the bottom piece of the Top assembled portion.  
It has no paint, since bare it catches rust right away. Once you lose the shields protecting your propane tank from heat your grill is no good.
The grill could be much better and last much longer if the heat shield lasts.

Yes it does a good job I'd recommend it but wont last a day over two years.

At first I liked the tru infra red grill, I did a rotisserie chicken and it was great, but when I did some steaks it did not turn out as good as a regular grill. I could not get the grill surface hot enough to get a good char on them, with 3 burners the propane struggled to give a good flame, I wish I got a regular grill like I had before

This item was shipped to TN from California! When notified to pickup shipment at my local Walmart the 60 lb + package seemed to be in good condition: no fork lift stabs; no corners severely dented, etc. Some sealing tape was partially ripped off; fur, for the most part the corrugated box was in tack. Upon unpacking ALL the individual packaged parts within the shipping carton all still seemed to be fine with all the plentiful styrofoam padding in place. However, commencing with following the assembly through step 6 out of 20 I found all panels in steps 2 thru 6 bent and dented in irrepairably causing screw holes not to match up. Assembly step 2 through step 6 was painfully difficult; but, with extra time and patience it finally became assembled. These four interim steps took two hours to complete satisfactorily. (?) I will never purchase another "to assemble" item in a box! I will want to see the finished product on display and for sale without any scratches or dents. This is a perfect example of the old addage, "You get what you pay for!" I suspect this purchase was damaged before shipment.

WHEN I UNPACKED THE GLILL, I NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PANEL WAS DAMAGED. THE PACKAGING COMPLETELY FELL APPART MAKING IT VERTUALY IMPOSSIBLE TO REPACK, I DECIDED TO MAKE-DO AND KEEP IT. THE QUALITY CONTROL PLUS/NINUS STANDARDS ARE NOT TIGHT ENOUGH. THE DOORS TO THE CABINET ARE UNEVEAN AND DO NOT FIT PROPERLY. THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS ARE VAUGE AND TOO UNIVERSAL. THEY SHOULD BE MORE MODEL SPSCIFIC. ANY-WAY HAVE A NICE DAY

I bought this product in the last year and in the past two weeks I have had two of the knobs fall of the valve stem. These are the knobs on the front of the grill that control each burner. The battery operated striker is not to good either at least every other time I have to use a bic grill light because it won't strike. Batteries are changed each time.
I can honestly say I was excited when I purchased your grill. It was the first long term investment I have ever made. It appears I was premature. Feel free to replace the bad pieces but I doubt I will change my opinion.
