Great deal but Sam’s packing is terrible. They just put items in a box and tape it shut. Last shipment a can of chicken was badly damaged and leaked all over. And the $50 minimum order sucks. If something is out of stock at the store, we should be able to have it shipped. Free.

Great price but shipping sucks

I cook a lot of recipes using pasta.  Just in case I need a quick hot meal, I buy the 6 pack of Barilla and never run out.  I use it for cold and hot dishes.

Essential Staple

Best

A "must have" on hand. Perfect for many recipes. Consistent in flavor. Great to have the boxes in individual 16 oz packaging

A Pantry Necessity

I purchased Barilla Elbows because I needed 1 lb box size and GMO-Free is an added bonus.  I add a 1/3rd of a box to the boxed Mac & Cheese to stretch it.  Their packets are too cheesy for me and this addition makes it perfect.

I also love making cold pasta salads in the summer.  One pound box of Barilla Elbows can last several meals.  Since a child I loved the pea salad my mom would make for us (1 can peas, 2 chopped celery stalks, 2 TBS chopped onions, Mayo).  As an adult, I love to add 2 diced apples ... sometime I will add a Sam's canned Chicken Breasts or Tuna or 1/2 lb seasoned ground beef and 1 chopped Jalapeño to give it a kick.

Overall, I love the fact Barilla is offering Non-GMO product ... not sure if organic.  The size is perfect, and is a quality product.

Great for cold salads or Addition to Mac & Cheese

Love these elbows for summer salads, mac and cheese, and just with a pasta sauce as a quick snack, meal, or side dish.  They have unique ridges which I noticed on a Michael Simon outdoor cooking show for a dish but not straight out of the box.  It's those unique ridges which are readily identifiable that add extra texture to your dish and apparently liked by chefs, too.  They also don't seem to get glued together after cooking and rinsing like other elbows.

Perfect Elbows

One of the best brands of noodles I’ve ever used. Really love there Celetine noodles for Mack and cheese and ghoulish. Especially for some family meals because my nephew is allergic to eggs and these are egg free.

Barilla noodles

Plenty of Macaroni for me and my family.  I vacuum sealed them so they will last forever plus one day.  It's goes well with anything, I also keep a good amount for my bug out bag.

BUYER

Bought this in anticipation of making my world-famous baked mac and cheese for Thanksgiving day.  The packages were dated with a use by date in 2027, three years from now, so I figured I was good to go.  Emptied three boxes into a large pot of boiling water and to my surprise, a large number of bug larvae, small beetles, and egg sacs floated to the top of my pot.  It totally ruined Thanksgiving for me.  I've never seen this from any Barilla product before, but I will think twice before ever purchasing a Barilla product again.
