I've steered clear of LGs in the past, but the quality of and price for this set made me reconsider.  I'm amazed at the quality of the picture (energy saver off) and the sound.  Much better than my Sony which it replaced after it was damaged in a fall.

Bought this TV 2 weeks ago.  Pretty easy setup.  Love all the extra features like having youtube, sling and other things already built in and not have to plug up extra things.

REALLY GREAT TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this TV for about 1 month and I am satisfied.  I replaced a Samsung plasma that stopped working after 4 years.  The Samsung picture quality was very good.  The LG picture quality is excellent and the LG has good volume.  The Samsung plasma ran hot.  I don't feel any heat coming off the LG. The gear button at the top of the remote opens up a menu on the  screen and you can scroll through and make changes to the TV.  This is a good TV and I am happy with it .

I do have another LG tv that is smaller, but figured if that picture was good the 55" would be equal. After setting it up I was not completely pleased. The picture was not very bright and no matter what I did I could not improve it. After a couple of days I went back through the settings and saw a Power Saver setting which was on. Once I turned it off the picture improved dramatically. I am now a happy customer!

Great bargain!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this tv about two weeks ago. We like it but having trouble with the colors and brightness. We can’t seem to get it to look like it looked in the store. Going to give it a couple more weeks if we can’t get it right we may return it.

Love all the apps to choose from

I bought this tv a month ago and it has a beautiful sharp picture. The volume is excellent as well. However, we’ve had trouble getting it connected to Direct TV and a Sony Blu-Ray player. The tv I had before was a Vizio, a much poorer quality tv. We had no trouble connecting it to the two systems. We keep having to switch the connections on the LG tv in order to access local channels, Netflix or play DVDs.

Nice picture, but...

The tv works good, but no matter what I do I can not get the picture light enough. I go through vivid to movies etc. none of the pre settings gets it light enough. No manual settings. Very disappointing. Also the picture is always blurry. On antenna or on cable.
My wife wants to return it.

TV starts but everything is black screen. I wish LG can help me with fixing. They are asking to pay for the fix. At this point i won't be able to spend any more money. LG was good it was working fine. looks like some TVs has issues. if you are lucky you won't get this problem.
