This soundbar is absolutely a great value for the price.  It is simple to use; do not pay attention to reviews that complain about the remote.  It is simple and it works exactly how you would expect it to work; it doesn't have a ton of needless buttons and so forth that are unnecessary.  Setup was extremely easy; everything I needed was provided for the necessary connections.  Heck, all I did was plug in the wireless subwoofer (after first hooking up the soundbar) and it picked up the signal itself; began working seamlessly.  I hooked it up to my 2009 Panasonic 54" plasma tv (this soundbar doesn't have HDMI, but has optical) just fine along with a smart blu-ray player and, of course, any device you have that has Bluetooth.  Take it for what it is; a simple to use, easy set up, soundbar with superb quality for the money.  I looked at various units for along time, did my research.  Is it Sonos? No,  but it also doesn't cost $1500 either!

Great sound and fairly easy to setup. I did have to buy a digital coaxial cable to get sound out of my at&t cable box.

This system is great and works excellent.  I installed this system to work in conjunction with a Vizio TV, and in this situation the TV and the Soundbar work as if they came as one unit, I was extremely pleased with the seamless integration between Vizio products.  I am not suggesting that this product wont work on other brand TV's I am just pointing out that when mated with a Vizio TV the integration of sound bar operation with the tv and tv remote was great.

Vizio 38" Sound Bar

I have always loved Vizio products and this is no exception! The quality (despite what people say) is great. Only recently had my first issue with a Vizio device and I have owned nothing but Vizio for over10years!

I just love how easy it is to set up and how easy it is to control! Would definitely recommend this item to anyone...the price was right too :)

Great Product

Over the years, I've bought a lot of items from Walmart. Most were a good value. This Vizio  soundbar is the BEST purchase I've ever made at Walmart. The quality is very high, and the price was the lowest you can get on this item in the world. The free shipping was quick and although the box showed up badly damaged, (as all my Walmart mail purchases do), the product was fine.

This Black Friday Vizio sale item, which I purchased for $148.00 was sure worth the money.  The sound bar system lived up to the 4 and 5 star reviews that I read before I purchased this item. Setup was easy, but I have setup many audio systems in the past. Hookup was easy and straightforward, even if you never installed one before you purchased this one. Also, just as many of the reviewers mentioned, the subwoofer was paired at the factory and worked out of the box.  Please take my advise and read the Quick Start Guide and follow it step by step. My one suggestion would be to connect the optical cable from the sound bar to the cable box instead of directly to the television because some optical outputs from televisions do not output true 5.1 Dolby Digital or DTS. On another note, the rear speakers and wires are color coded only on the connectors so,  the gray marked rear surround speaker wire is for the right rear speaker, which is also marked gray on the speaker and the blue marked rear surround speaker wire is for the right rear speaker, which is also marked blue on the speaker. The right and left are the speaker placements when sitting. Sit back and enjoy the improved sound instead of listening to your normal television speakers, just be sure to either turn down the volume of your television speakers or shut them off by using the menu sound item control on your television.  Also, depending on what type of television remote your using, you maybe able to program it to control your sound bar thereby, you will not have to use the one included with your sound.bar, except when setting it up.

Great System at a Great Price

Not quite what I expected, but 75% better than the built in speakers and at a very reasonable price.

Vizio 38" sound bar

I've been looking for a 5.1 soundbar for a while and picked up on black Friday for 149.99 I love how you can adjust treble bass. and subwoofer levels.  this would get 5 starts but unfortunately vizio didn't seem to test their remote in low light because the remote is impossible to read in the dark.  the display screen is too dark with no backlight

I set up my new sound bar in about an hour.  It was really simple. Only thing that took time was mounting the speakers on the wall. The sound is great and I was even able to connect my iPhone in seconds to play music.  I would definitely recommend this product!

Sound Bar - Easy to Install - Sounds Great!

This does a great job with what I was wanting it for except for the remote.  There is an LCD screen to show what you are doing when you toggle through the different inputs and settings, but it's black with lighter letters.  There is no backlighting so unless you are in a well lit room you cannot see what you are doing.  I have to use the flashlight on my phone to shine on the remote to be able to switch between Optical (blu ray) and Bluetooth (music).  Maybe that won't be a problem for you, but it's a huge inconvenience for us.

perfect except remote

I bought this to replace a wired sony surround sound system.  After opening this box discovered that EVERY ITEM WAS WIRED.  Sub and base had wired power cables.  Not surprised there. But then found that both satellite speakers had wires that ran to the sub.  NOT AS ADVERTISED.  Bought online as black friday deal.  Returned the day after pickup.
