Cools 40’x40’ (1600sq foot) metal shop building with single layer standard fiberglass batt insulation and insulated doors.  10’ sidewalls with shallow peak, no ceiling means extra air to cool vs a standard room with ceiling.  Mid 90’s outside will pull interior from 89 degrees to 79 degrees in around an hour, and will slowly continue to drop to 76 degrees during the heat of the day.  If you ‘precool’ overnight it will hold 72 all day long in mid 90’s heat.

Good unit - quiet comfort

We bought this a little over a month ago and it is perfect. We have a large older farm house and it cools most of it on itself. You can also control it by your phone and adjust the temperature before you get home!!! I love this unit!

Very cold and easy to use from your phone!

Works wonderfully!  Keeps my livingroom and kitchen area completely cool while cooking dinner in this Florida heat. It wasn't too difficult to install just a bit heavy. Would purchase the Midea brand again.

It works great! It cools the room down so quickly and the smartphone controls are the best. Would definitely recommend getting this Air Conditioner for a large space!

Works better than expected!

Love the unit only thing it watch is the contol arm that gives you option of recycled  air or fresh air it is weak and can be easily broken while picking up or installing, how do I know it happened while installing and I had to use crazy glue to repair!

The box arrived partially open and the face plate of the unit was damaged. Taking the whole thing apart to remove one small shipping cardboard piece added a lot of frustration and time to the install. The A/C does work, I also purchased the extra warranty based on other reviews. Would NOT recommend.

Annoyed

We bought this ac unit to replace one that wasn’t cooling. We read that it had a different outlet so we had that and a new 220 breaker installed. We receive the product almost 2 weeks later than what they said and it was damaged. The whole top was dented in like something dropped on it. We called for a return and they told us we had to return it to the store.

Broken ac unit

Ordered the A/C on 4/13 and it arrived on 4/16. My husband and son installed it on 4/18. Today is 5/7 and the A/C has quit working. The compressor tries to come on but just makes a horrible noise then kicks off. Not too happy with this purchase.

NOT one of Midea’s best!

I bought 2 and 1 didn’t work. I returned the 1 but I will probably return the other because it doesn’t blow hard and it doesn’t get cold.

Bad air conditioner

Bought this hooked it up correctly but does not work. Will have to send it back.
