The barrel is a bit thicker, I feel like it's designed for maximum comfort. I love the way it writes. You don't have to push hard on the paper, the ink comes out very smooth. The ink dries quick, so no need to worry about smudges.

I used it to sign school papers for my kinder gander girl she is always wetting her papers or wrinkleing them and this pen worked wonders. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy more and different colors.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love gel pens and particularly like Pilot G-2 pens but they are a bit pricey especially for an item that ends up walking off with someone who forgets to return it. I was sent one of these Bic Gel-ocity Pens as a sample and at about half the cost of the Pilot G-2 pens, I don't mind nearly as much if someone "forgets" to return one. I really like the comfort grip that comes on thes pens as well and like most good gel pens the ink flows buttery smooth across the paper. I did have a bit of trouble getting my sample pen to start writing when I first got it but once I got it going I haven't had any issues with it since. These are pretty darn good pens at a really good price so I will definitely purchase them in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BIC Gel-ocity Ultra Retractable Gel Pen is a fantastic pen to use in order to protect against fraud. The ink is water and fade resistant against it. The ink dries very quickly. The width of the pen is just right if you are using it to write with.
