Purchased the 8x12.5 Lifetime shed online from Sam's club on sale with free delivery.  Couldn't be happier so far. The freight company that delivered shed was able to put the package in my garage which was a big plus since the 2 boxes weigh almost 600 pounds and I hadn't looked forward to unpacking them and hauling the pieces 100 feet from sidewalk to garage.

As everyone has stated, be sure you have a level foundation.  This is a must! Built mine using 6x6x16 PT, using the additional length for a small deck/landing in front of shed.  Built a 4 foot ramp up to the deck, worked out perfect for getting mower in and out of shed.

Only real problem with construction was with the doors.  My doors aligned perfectly just like the instructions showed, but when they closed, the lock bracket on the right door hit the other door preventing them from closing, by about 1/8 of an inch.  To compensate I had to remove the metal bracket from the left door (I did not have the tools to cut or reshape the bracket).  That fixed the problem.  I added a slide bolt at the top on the right door to help keep the door closed.  Would definitely recommend putting on a slide bolt for anyone building this shed.

I did add a 2x4 wall frame inside the shed to give the shed better strength and a better attachment to the foundation.   Used lag bolts and washers to attach the wall panels to the 2x4 studs and long lag bolts/washers to attach the wall plate to the foundation.  Living here in central Florida on the coast, I wanted to make sure the shed had a better chance to survive storm winds. (got the idea from a You Tube video from a Lowe's installer in Orlando on this shed; much thanks to him) This added about $100 in cost using PT lumber.

I thought the instructions where fine; called support once about question with foundation size and got good support; only suggestion is to somehow design the door to be able to be adjustable.  The way the door is designed, makes adjustments difficult. Only other change I made was the direction of the plywood sub floor on the foundation joists.  Their instructions showed running the plywood parallel to the joists, all my previous experience doing sub floor says to run perpendicular.  I called support on this item, but the support person said that is the way they recommend without giving me a reason as to why.  I ran perpendicular.

Overall very pleased and would recommend Sam's club and this Lifetime shed.  Took me about a week building the foundation and putting the shed together basically by myself with a little help from my wife, not bad for a 70 year old!

Very Happy with Purchase, Delivery and Shed

I made a wooden base, and everything went smoothly. I didn't have to adjust the doors or shim anything. The only issue is putting the walls up on a windy day.  My wife and I got the whole thing together in about 4 hours, but it would have been less if we didn't spend so much time holding things in place when wind gusts came. I also already had everything unboxed and ready the day before we put it up, which helped us get done faster the next day. Just make sure your base is level and square. 

Only complaint, but not worth losing a star, is that I didn't find out it didn't come with the anchoring hardware until the end, and that you have to order it separately. I get that you'd use different hardware for a cement or wood base, but that should be asked in the ordering process, so the hardware comes with the kit. 

All in all, we're extremely happy. We use it mainly to get our three kids' bikes and scooters out of the garage, along with some other things. I love having my garage back. I love that I didn't have to paint anything too. It looks very nice and we're very happy. 

You will most likely need to build a ramp if you do a wooden base on posts due to being in a frontline climate with ground that's not level. But, you should have plenty of plywood leftover from your foundation and just need a couple 2 x 4s.

Very nice looking shed. Lots of storage space. Really nice floor. I waited about 3 weeks before it shipped (due to Lifetime having limited staff and shipping issues  during pandemic)  however no regrets, well worth it! I have researched before making a shed decision and this was definitely a great choice . I had a contractor build a cemenf foundation a few days prior to the install. They key is to make sure its level. 2 workers built if in exactly 6 hours start to finish.  Only negative comment i can give is i wish lifetime would make a better locking system on this shed. That took my contractor longer than the actuall shed being build. Color is more of a beige , lighter than appears. It matched my house well too! Dont wait just order it!

So Happy with this shed

I just finished putting this together. Took me 4 hours the first day, during which I assembled trusses & doors. Dad came to help with setting up floor & walls. I then popped in the screws connecting panels. Put up doors & front gable, and it got dark outside so I stopped for the day. Yesterday I attacked the roof by myself, which is actually possible to do alone. Directions were excellent, I took my time with the whole assembly and double checked some of the diagrams for part orientation. Got it all done, second day of work was like 5 hours, basically alone. Dad came out to help a bit, keeping me company & handing me screws.

Great shed for the money, yard update.

The shed is very spacious.  The assembly proved to be a challenge - we received 2 left-side doors in the original packaging which was VERY frustrating since we wanted to assemble the shed that day.  I called the company and NEVER received an apology for the inconvenience.  He suggested we go to the closest Sam's, even though we purchased the shed on-line, and his suggestion was "they could just switch out the door since they have them in stock."  Well, we tried that but they do NOT have them in stock and were unable to help.  So, another call to Lifetime and spoke with the same guy and, once again, NO APOLOGY.  He said they would order a ride-side door and it would be shipped.  
It did arrive about 3 days later but we had to wait until another free weekend to assemble it since we both work during the week.  
Assembling it was a challenge but, now that it's done - we love it.  I was glad I read the reviews prior to ordering it so we were prepared for some of the same problems other people had, i.e. the door alignment.  
My biggest complaint is the customer service at Lifetime.  I felt that and apology was warranted AT LEAST for the inconvenience.

Great Shed - Once Put Together!

I build decks, reck rooms etc very handy However dont be mislead when someone writes I put it together myself. This is a 2 person job due to alignment s and pushing from outside while someone is inside screwing the walls and roof panels. The corners are very hard to snap in, it took dish soap to finally get them in as the weight of the roof solidified it as well. The roof panels are not very forgiving ,if you dont hit the plug in the roof panel perfectly it will tear the plug and yes No draw down on that specific panel as it sticks up outside.
Last few tips level ground is key for alignment of the doors, they include the plastic shims for a reason read the directions thoroughly on where to place them for proper alignment. On the roof trusses be sure not to put the nuts from the bolts on the inside track as you will run into a problem when installing the roof panels.(they dont tell you that in the directions) Dont jump ahead putting up walls ,follow the steps accordingly as they state in the booklet build the trusses and doors before going forward so you stay on a role.

When completed its a very nice unit. I purchased 2 of these units as they were on a one day sale at Sams club. First one took 8 hours second one half that time. Be patient you can do this!

We had our shed assembled today. We are very upset with the doors. They do not fit or close correctly. When you attempt to close the doors, the bottom of the doors hit each other before the door is closed. Both doors have to be opened & closed @ the same time. Unable to figure out anyway to adjust.

Faulty Doors

After waiting a month to receive this I was very disappointed by the quality of this shed.  The directions were helpful to a point with a qr reader but then didn't make much sense when there wasn't  a reader provide for some sections.  The various parts bags provided were confusing as they had parts that didn't go with the particular section of the shed you were working on.  Many of the bags didn't even have labels to its corresponding section.  
The plastic material seems flimsy and not the same quality you would find with a rubbermaid product.  Even on a level surface the shed looks rippled in areas. We just had a light rain the past day and the shed is not water tight by any means.  We used caulk to seal some of the areas.

Very flimsy, not the best quality

I really had high hopes for this lifetime shed and boy was it a let down. The quality was horrible. Fit and finish is just as bad.  Some panels were damaged in shipment but that was the least of the problems with this shed.  The screws can and will easily strip out. The installation process really has a lot to be desired. Oh and don't even think about trying to put this shed up if there is even the slightest breeze. I'm talking like don't even breath heavy around this thing. The doors are absolutely the worst part.  The doors over lapped so badly they would not even shut.  I could go on and on about what a waste of money these sheds are. So please just reconsider your options and save yourself a lot of headaches.

Stay away. Save your money and buy something else

I bought this a couple of weeks ago it brought no clear installation instruction. It's poorly molded with cheap plastic not worth your money don't buy it
