I bought this dough a few weeks ago on a whim, wit

I bought this dough a few weeks ago on a whim, with the idea that I could use it as a base for some cookies to make with my daughter for Christmas. I came onto the site looking for ideas - and wow, the reviews made me worried. I however, did not have a bad experience using this dough, though I think steps need to be taken for better results. I planned on mixing in flour so I could form the dough into balls, so I let it soften at room temperature for a bit. I can see why people would complain about the cookies being too wet and spreading out thinly, because the softened dough was very moist and lacked body. I ended up mixing in just short of 1/2C of flour, and that gave me a nice firm dough. We made the dough into balls and then pushed a soft Werthers caramel into the middle, then sprinkled with sea salt. The cookies were baked at 350 for about 12 minutes and came out beautifully! They puffed up and grew slightly and had a lovely cracked surface. After cooling, they were firm on the outside and chewy on the inside and had a lovely flavour. The next day they were delicious as well. I would absolutely repurchase to use as a dough base. I gave four stars because I think if I had made them as sliced cookies right from the package I would have been very disappointed with the result.

What the heck?! I've been been buying this refrig

What the heck?! I've been been buying this refrigerated dough for YEARS, and this is the first time I've had awful results! It said to cook for 11 to 14 minutes. I checked them at six minutes, and they were already burning on the bottom! I took them out immediately, and transfered them to a cooling rack. They had flattened out into thin little pancakes, and we're burnt to a crisp after six minutes!!! I've never seen this before with these. This totally ruined our Christmas cooking decorating night! So disappointed:(
