Suction fantastic, functionality fantastic. This vacuum snaps and  clicks apart and easily clicks back together. This vacuum has retired the broom and dust pan. Picks up potato chips, whole almonds, crumbs, cereal and on and on. This machine will suck the curtains off the wall, you've been warned. It is on the heavy side. That bring said it takes the weight to get the lines on low pile carpets. 

Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. Money well spent. 

For background I own Shark  rocket (3), powerhead (6), cordless duo clean (2), and 4 different styles of Dyson along with a few other brands. The Shark Apex is my go to machine. My only reservation with Shark products is they don't last in the long run that's the only area dyson is stronger than Shark.  Only time will tell on the Apex.

Very impressed with this vacuum

I bought this a couple weeks ago it is my 5th shark my first 4 are the stick vacs I won't part with any of them why waste money on an inferior vacuum. I use them for everyday and work.  I recommend them to everyone if I see someone shopping in the vacuum isle I always give them my 2 cents.

Does a great job, little effort. I have the old model lift away for about a year. Shark needs to quit making their machines obsolete!

Great vacuum!

Did a lot of research and decided on this vacuum.  Over a year later,  after weekly use, I am still very happy with its performance. The Duo feature is great, and the mechanized pet brush is so helpful.

I bought this over a month ago. I have other Shark vacuums but really like the features on this one.  Like the "polishing" of bare floors.  You can really see the difference as the light shines on the floor. Like the light in the handle when detached for tool use (both the short handle and the long handle light up.)

Great features!

Very happy with the vacuum after 2 weeks.  No bagless is perfect but this unit seems to seal well.  No dust odor in the air went you use it.
Suction is good and the dual roller design seems to works well.  I like the access provided to clean the roller.

Great for a bagless

Got this gem on special after Thanksgiving and it is so much better than the Dyson I had. The front roller actually gets so much more off of my plush carpet and gets things from almost right up to the wall. My old vacuums always missed the last inch or two near a wall or other obstacle, but this one does a great job all the way up! It's almost like a self propelled due to the front roller's material and purpose, but I have no problem pulling it back (no resistance due to the brush which I was worried about). The accessories are great with cat hair, etc. Love it!!! Totally recommend.

LOVE all the features!

I've been using my new vacuum for about a month now and am very please with its performance.  It is much quieter than my past Shark vacuums, and has very strong suction.  It comes with great attachments, especially the motorized attachment.  The added roller to the vacuum head really increases the effectiveness of picking up dirt and larger objects from the floor.

Really like everything about this vacuum except the fact that hair gets stuck on the beater bar after just one vacuum.  It is a pain to get it off and is time consuming.  I'm guessing it is worth the extra price to buy the model that takes care of that.

Good Vacuum

Better setup for attachments and better able to vacuum under furniture, but a bit heavier. Doesn't seem to pick up quite as much as the Dyson, however prefer its easier use of attachments on hose and the new foam roller in from of the brush does a superior job on hard floors.

Replacing a Dyson

Also, have to remove my hair from the roller! Thought this wasn't supposed to happen.  The orange and black roller has started making a grinding noise & won't work.  They don't care and won't cover it. It's not an accessory...the head nozzle is literally how you vacuum.  Was super creepy BC they asked my address & phone etc knowing what part was broken and I asked if it was covered in my initial email..only to reply it wasn't covered after making me gather the model, my personal information,  and number on plug.. Had I known shark didn't stand behind their vacuums MAINE vacuum parts...I'D HAVE BOUGHT A DIFFERENT BRAND.  MAKES ME SICK.

Only buy if you want MAYBE 3 years use
