This was my second whistler inverter. I have the 2000 watt at our camp that is totally off grid and it has never let us down. This new purchase of the 1200 watt was for our van. runs all the time when the frig is on. Whistler has served us well and because of that we choose them again for our second purchase

This seems to power quite a bit , Installed in my pop up camper and has powered my laptop for hrs. with no problems ( Hooked up to 3 solar panels and two 12 volt deep cycle batteries

Everything hooked up as per directions. I purchased 2 lugs for attaching #4 wires with. They didn't seem to think of that, but for a couple of bucks I made it easy to hook up. Pretty quiet when fan runs, but only runs for a couple seconds at a time then off for quite a few minutes and that was running at 3/4 usage. Worth the money. Ran RV fridge, TV, DVD, blender, furnace fan etc. No Problems.

Worth it

Ordered this on line to get it before a camping trip, paid extra just to get it on time.
Order came on time, but the unit does not ship with any cables. The same unit shipped for other sources all ship with 3' cables.
So, it was off to Lowes to get two #4 cables, $15.00 plus connectors, $6.00 a pair. Got it all together, ran a 60w fan for about 10 minutes until the system beeped and shut down. Tested the battery 12.8 volts, checked all cables, every thing is tight, ground is good, but the unit will not start any more, just get the low voltage beep.
I can return the unit, but there goes the extra for the shipping, and now it is a scrabble to get one before I leave.

You get what you pay for!
