I purchased the Tempur-Pedic Cool Softness Reversible Blanket because of most blankets and comforters making us too hot when we sleep. (I’ve spent hours reading reviews in search of decent cool blanket; even more time sleeping (sweating) under the false claims; and hundreds  or more $ looking for something that even comes close to this.)

We’ve been using this blanket for about a month, and for two hot sleepers it’s been good. I don’t find myself kicking it off throughout the night. Be sure to have the cooling side facing properly to take best advantage of the cool effect. It is lightweight, soft to the touch, and the light grey color is versatile to fit most room aesthetics. (More color options would be great, though!) As other reviewers have mentioned, the size is generous from side-to-side. 
Purchased two of these - one for a king bed and one for a queen bed. They wash and dry well (so far) and lay flat without wrinkles. The sideways stitching still gets me when I make the bed, but that’s a small adjustment compared to sleeping through the night!

For those who sleep hot, give it a shot

I get hot at night. Plus I always have my fan and the AC running at all times of the year. This blanket is so cool to the touch but he does keep me cozy.  I even got my parents one cause I knew they'd like it. My only complaint is the design seems off center. Not sure what they were going with but I'd love to get this blanket in another color too.

This thing is awesome!!! It's really nice and cool on one side- kind of a slick material and the other side is soft. It definitely keeps you cooler! The size is great. It made it through the was no problem. I was worried about the color but it's a nice striated pale gray. Super satisfied!

I love this blanket

Extremely light weight and feels wonderful.  The first night it was hot and was removing it from bed.  Then I noticed that one side is much cooler so I turned with cool side facing down.  That was the ticket. Love, love, love.  I feel like a child wink my blankie.  I am now buying them for my grandsons.

Comfy cozy

Best blanket we ever had! Not heavy and doesn't stick to you like regular blankets. So soft, and really keeps you warm. Bought my 1st one while camping in our rv and weather turned chilly. Pefect. Bought another for house. Would never go back to a regular blanket...also, no need for comfortor. This blanket keeps you warm enough throughout the night.

This is an absolute must in the summer in the desert. Most of these cooling blankets are extremely thin, this one is not! It feels cold to the touch on one side, and is such a help in the heat. The queen size makes it great for the bed or the couch. Even though its thicker, its still very light weight and will not overheat you.

A necessity in the summer

I was going to buy the more expensive version of this that was sold in the store. But after reading the reviews on it I decided to go with the Mainstays one because said to buy this one instead and I'm so glad I did. No complaints. It is super soft microfiber on top and the cooling layer on the other. This is the perfect summer comforter. Lightweight but heavy enough to still feel like you have a weight on you while staying stay cool!

Great summer comforter

I love this blanket.  I'm always hot, this blanket is cool against your body and feels wonderful.  For some reason it gets the little pilly balls all over it.  I shave them off.  Will have to wait to see if they return.  surprisingly you do not notice them.  I will always use this blanket!!!

Great for anyone hot in bed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blanket came with strings all over the blanket. It appears that the seamstress had a fight with the sewing machine. Terrified that when I wash it, it will fall apart. Called CS and not much help.

I like this blanket, but it is super thin and I usually have to put another blanket on top for a heavier feel (my preference). I have washed it a handful of times at this point and even on gentle cycles the fabric is piling and just becoming worn out. It is still cool to the touch, but rough in places now. For what I paid I'm mostly happy with it.

Decent

This blanket stayed cool for about two minutes, and then the cooling feature shut off, and it just became a regular blanket. Stitching came loose on the blanket, which appears to very cheaply made. Not a fan.  If I could  give it zero stars, I would, but then I wouldn't be able to submit this review.
