This sharpener is quieter than my old, non-pro model. It sharpens the pencils with the decorative plastic wrappers. It stops sharpening when the pencil is pointed (no more endlessly standing at the sharpener while it eats a whole pencil). The shaving drawer is huge and easy to empty. When I got mine, all the teachers on my floor began bringing their pencils to my room to use it until they got their own!

This sharpener is the best I've had. it sharpens almost all pencils...excluding eyeliner pencils...to a nice point and stops on it's own. It's simple for all ages, from preschool to elderly. I would definitely recommend it for the price compared to other electric sharpeners.

Best sharpener I've ever had!

It works great, as well as expected. I only purchased this style, the option to select various pencil thickness, because I have many artist pencils of various thickness. I had to pay much extra for this one option though.

Size Inclusive Sharpener

This is the best sharpener I've ever used. By December, I had gone through 3 different sharpeners, including 2 electric and one manual wall mounted one, in my classroom. I ordered this model and it is unstoppable. It sharpens quickly, and without a lot of distracting noise. It also sharpens the entire tip of the pencil and not just one side. I highly recommend. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for my home office.

Worth every penny!

There is no doubt that this is the BEST pencil sharpener ever!  It sharpens to a keen point and stops when it is sharp.  It is actually a little larger than it looks in this picture.  But that is OK.  Honestly, you could shop forever and never find a better pencil sharpener.

The Very Best

It is very powerful.  Sometimes, it seems frighteningly strong.  It grabs the pencil, but it does a great job.  I wish I could slow the speed for my colored pencils or make the point not so sharp.  I stands 6.75" tall, almost 6.7" deep and 4.5" wide.  I expect it to last forever.

Mighty Power

I volunteer with my grand kids' school and bring home pencils from the classroom. I needed a new sharpener that could handle the volume and work well.  This is it. Very fast, perfect, sharp point, and much quieter than my older electric sharpener. I appreciate the fact that this sharpener has a 10 year warranty which was the deciding factor for my purchase.

Best pencil sharpener, ever

We have a small (this is much larger than I thought!) X-ACTO electric sharpener at work and it sharpens perfectly. For my home/ school-aged kid, I'd hoped the large, pro version would be the same or better, but it's not. I like a really sharp pencil if I have to use one. This cuts off when it's sharp "enough." Would be great for a Kindergarten classroom, I suppose, but I wouldn't personally buy again.

I wish I could shove the pencil in there enough to MAKE it sharpen more, but it cuts off... it eats less pencil, but I prefer a sharper point than this delivers.

I think it's fine.

Easily the best pencil sharpener. My wife's a teacher and has one at school as well as home. She swears by them. All these other Sharpeners use that stupid razor blade screwed to plastic. The same one you buy for a dollar and do a terrible job. This one uses the old style cylinder shaped blades the we use to have in school. They do a much better job and are better built so it will last longer
