The nuts are large and thin shelled, so they are easy to crack. The Pawnee is hardy in Zones 7-10 and is a Type 1 pollinator. It can be planted in full sun or partial shade, and can tolerate a variety of soil types. The Pawnee Pecan can reach a height between 60-90 feet and a width of 25-50 feet. I was amazed by the size when it arrived. It was big, healthy and thriving. Nicely packed for shipping.  Transplanting was successful. I looked around and Sam’s was definitely the best deal.

It arrived well packaged and healthy. It was much larger than I expected (about 5 feet tall). The roots were in good condition also.

Received very healthy and good size plants. Out of three one died due to delay in delivery.  Definitely recommend.

Pleasantly surprised. Well packaged for the shipping process. Arrived in excellent condition on Jan. 5th, 2024. Already planted and appears to be doing well.

VERY Happy

The Pawnee Pecan Tree #5 Pot came well packaged. It looked good when unpacked. It sat outside in the shade a day before planting. There’s new growth on it so I’m very hopeful it will grow and thrive with Stuart (pecan tree)!

Not sure if it will make it!  Sams replacement is doing ok but it’s not doing very good either!  Too hot to be shipping young trees.

I purchased this a few months ago. When I went to transplant this I found it was SEVERELY root bound. The roots had grown around the bottom of the pot almost the size of the trunk.
