Member's Mark Cold Smoked Atlantic Salmon is raised in Chile and then carefully smoked with natural oakwood. The salmon comes sliced so they're ready to enjoy right away. Excellent smoked salmon at the best price per pack anywhere. Just discovered that I could buy it by the case of 18 and saved even more. About $50 over buying single packs.

This was our go-to breakfast. Please bring it back into the clubs! It cannot be beaten.

Why has this been discontinued?

Fantastic! The flesh of the salmon is firm (not mushy or limp) which feels great on the tongue. The flavor is also lightly smoked. Altogether simply delicious.

Love this product… why isn’t it sold by the the package?  Was in a Sams in Casper Wyoming… sold there by the package.  Been a member for a long time?  Don’t understand this !!!

Only want to buy individual packages

Been buying the individual package of this smoked salmon for a long time.  Was in the store today, and noticed the packaging has changed a bit.  Bought a 1 lb package.  When I got home, I opened the package to repack it for the fridge, so I weighed the fish, and found I only had 15 oz in the package, not a full pound :-(. Kind of disappointing.  Fish is still good, but I DID expect to get the full pound.

The product is excellent, but I am unhappy that I cannot get individual 1 pound packets in the store and are forced to buy the bulk pack of 18.

Members Mark Bulk Smoked Salmon

Having been frustrated by lack of individual package availability I did a bulk purchase. When picking up the 18 pack box I asked if the box could be opened and I would purchase single packs but was told when making checkout the computer would not recognize the individual item. 

Several observations.The country of source is now Poland instead of Peru. The single packaging Is more elongated but with nearly identical labeling. When dispensing you need to now open opposite end from large product labeling for neat removal of slices without exposing entire slab.

 New Polish version on first taste appears less oily but tastes more salty. Texture is good. During period when Member’s Mark Atlantic Smoked Salmon was not available I tried several options with a few including New York City sourcing coming in with better taste but with a 15 -25% price premium and superior taste. 

There are numerous reports of shortages of Atlantic Smoked Salmon on the internet. Suspect the availability issue is in play for Sam’s as well and we are seeing effects of overfishing and climate change, issues not easily resolved.

This product along with gasoline has been one of the main reasons I have continued my membership.
