Excellent on the grill!

Incredible value and taste was not what I was expecting. Typically when I have bought bulk meat products in the past they find ways to either skimp on taste or charge extra for junk. I’ve purchased beautiful looking “trimmed” tri-tip steaks in the past only to open the package and find a 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick layer of fat. Not only is that a lie and a dishonest practice, it is stealing from the consumer who is trusting these stores. I was completely surprised at how amazing the quality was on this particular item. It tasted amazing and it was trimmed perfectly. It is good knowing that there are still company’s that have integrity. Shout out to the butchers at the Sam’s Club! They know what they’re doing!

Made my Sunday BBQ

Love this cut of beef!  I can only find it in certain clubs in Tennessee.   It's my go to for get-togethers.  Delicious!

Tri-tip

You can’t always find tri-tip in grocery stores. This is one of the best priced fair cuts of meat if you know how to cook it. I love the tri-tip and I am very happy. Sams Club sells them.

Price is similar to other stores. So is it worth the big box hassles? Not for me. I don’t live near a Sam’s Club. I pass up several other stores using fuel and dealing with traffic for not saving anything.

Is it worth the hassle ?

This cut of meat is meant to have a layer of fat on one side.  The cut originated in California and is meant to be barbecued.  One side of the tri-tip should have a layer fat.  The one I purchased had all the fat trimmed off.  Next time I’ll ask for one with the fat still on.

Needs more fat

Ordering online is deceiving. The picture shown for this product (tri tip) shows a packag of 2 but I only receive a single tri tip. Please change your online pic to reflect either a single tri tip or the package of 2 so I can get the double package. Also the meats that are put in the order  look like the ones that might not selling the store. They are not cut correctly and are the smallest in size. 3 lb each tri tip is the most desirable.

was a good flavor of beef but not enough marbeling or fat was left on the meat, so when it was bbq'd it ended up very dry.
