The Gap Ladies' Linen Button Down Top may be crafted in an airy summer fabric, but it’s one wardrobe staple you’ll reach for all year long. A longline silhouette with an easy, relaxed fit, this collared button-up features long sleeves with buttoned cuffs and a curved shirttail hem for extra coverage over the backside. It is finished with a single breast pocket and branded buttons throughout. Wear it for warm weather as a light layer over shorts and a tank, and in the fall and winter months, put it under a knit sweater with the collar peeking out for a preppy look. With solid and printed options and both bright and neutral colors, you’re sure to find a colorway that works for you and the rest of your closet.

The Gap Ladies' Linen Button Down Top is cut from a blend of 55% Rayon and 45% Linen. It is available in five solid and printed color options (Bright White, Pure Cashmere Stripe, Beetroot Purple, Blue Crosshatch, and Beetroot Multi Stripe), as well as women’s sizes XS-XXL while supplies last. Please follow all laundering instructions on the care tag to best preserve shirt quality, color and fit. Should you need additional sizing information, a size chart is included as the final slide of the product photos for your reference. Note: This piece is unique.     Nice shirt, but it runs big

    I really liked this shirt. It's lightweight and breathable material will make it perfect to wear in late spring or early summer. The color is vivid and true to the pictures online. My only drawback is that I ordered a size large because I like room in my clothes. But the shirt is way bigger than most large sized shirts on me. So, I regret not ordering the medium.

    Classic staple

    I wanted to wash and wear this top a few times before reviewing…the first time I washed it I tossed it in the dryer for a few minutes. It came out quite wrinkly. The next time I just hung it up to dry and it came out perfect! It’s a cute classic piece I’ll be able to wear for years. The quality is very good, especially for linen. It does run kind of long which makes it hard to tuck in, so I’ll probably style it with a cute knot or just wear as a lightweight sweater in the summer. I’m very happy with this cute linen shirt!

    A surprising favorite!

    I was ready to hate this shirt. I thought it would be awkward and boxy, but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised! I don’t tend to wear lighter neutral colors, so didn’t think I would feel comfortable in this. I was wrong — about ALL of it. There’s a slight taper to the seams that is very flattering and keeps the box I was at bay. The color is a perfect neutral; I can dress it up for work or down for play. The shirt is a nice, light weight. It’s great for layering and I think the coloring and texture will work during all our Michigan seasons. The left chest pocket is a good size. In a shocking turn of events, the length is perfect for me! I can tuck it in or leave it untucked, and it looks great. The sleeves are a nice length and are easy to roll above the elbow. My only complaint is that it hangs on to the waist wrinkles from sitting for a bit longer than I’d like. Overall: it’s one of my new favorite wardrobe pieces. Give it a try — you might love it!
