We live 1 1/2 miles from the highway on a dirt road. In 1995 when Opal came through, we were without power for a week. Now that we are older, as bad as that was then, it would be a very bad imposition now. With our generator, we can keep the entire house going now and don't have to worrying about power outages.

Great looking stand alone generator that I have not had the use of as yet, but just knowing it is there for me when I have a power failure gives me great piece of mind. It looks good in the cabinet, and the installation was great. 
Knowing that whether I am home or not, in the middle of the night, or at any time in between, my home will be protected by my automatic Generac generator.

Most excellent product and there when you need it.

Since installation in early March, the unit has fired up 5 time for various power outages. Most recently just two days ago when a neighbor's moving truck took out two utility poles for eight hours. The unit worked flawlessly during the outage much to the envy of my neighbors.

The product works flawlessly.

I have had the 22KW Generac Generator almost a year now and has worked great when the power went off on several occasions. Living in a new neighborhood we have had outages do to construction in the area. The latest one was for about 5 hours, the generator did the job of keeping my house powered. The only way I knew it was running was it sounded like someone was cutting my back yard with a lawnmower. I highly recommend this generator for your whole house needs. I gave a 4 star on value for price not for the generator, but the installation cost.

22KW Whole House the way to go

The unit has responded on one outage and worked just as it should. The power automatically came back on generator power and everything worked in the house. It only took a few seconds for it to come on and it cycled right off when power was restored from the grid.

Great Product and it works.

This generator has all the features need to run your whole house after a power loss. The programmable self start system ensures the generator will start when needed. The system has a built-in battery charger to keep the required battery fully charged. Runs quietly and has looks good.ED1224

Product has all the features needed

Prior to this generator I had a carrier 42KW. You would think a larger generator would be a lot louder but you would be wrong. This generator so far has service the Basic needs at 22kW. I built my new home directly across the street from my old residence. When power went out the generator was so loud it woke me up. I went outside to see if I could hear the old generator running. I literally had to walk across the street up to about 20 feet from the home before I could hear the old generator running over the new one. I guess when your power goes out you don't mind the noise. It would be a huge improvement if they could insulate their generator better to reduce noise.

Reliable but loud

We use this as backup power running on propane.  Works fine.  My wife was not going to go crank something.  It comes on about 10 seconds after a power failure.  We have a 22KW unit and it powers everything including a 4 ton HVAC.  I love it.  Be careful about placement as this is an engine and makes some noise.  We have it on the side of the garage away from the house and we can barely hear it.
A neighbor installed his (natural gas) and has had problems.  Don't have a clue as to why.  I just know that mine works flawlessly.

Seems to work just fine

This is a very good product, the only complaint I have is It never came with a sticker for my elec meter that says there is a secondary source of electricity, just in case a firefighter pulls the meter in an emergency, please send me a MUST have sticker.

Very good

We purchased it about 2 years ago and it pretty much has failed us when the need arises during storms or other weather in climate conditions. This was bought because I have a cpap machine and need it to sleep. Also to protect the contents of our freezer and fridge.
