Water Filters

Water filters are connected to your home's water supply. As the water enters the home, the system passes the water through two or more filters that remove contaminants of specific sizes. These whole-house water purification systems can get rid of particulates, odor, chlorine from the water. You'll need to choose replacement filters that remove specific contaminates and change them every three months depending on your water usage.

Reverse Osmosis Systems

Reverse osmosis water purification systems are point-of-use units, which means they are installed in kitchens and other areas where you want clean water. These systems can be attached to your existing faucet, or connected to an auxiliary faucet depending on your needs and current plumbing and fixture setup. Reverse osmosis systems are certified by the National Sanitation Foundation for removing nitrate and fluoride, and for reducing the amount of copper and lead in the water.

Water Softeners

Water softeners are installed where the water enters your home. These systems use sodium or potassium in the form of water softening pellets from brands like Morton or crystals to remove the magnesium and calcium ions that make water hard. The water enters a tank filled with the pellets or crystals. As it moves through, the calcium and magnesium ions are replaced with the sodium or potassium. Water softeners provide cleaner, healthier water and protect appliances from hard water deposits that can cause damage over time.
