How Do I Choose the Right TV?

First know what room the TV is for.  Will the space be dedicated for a home theater, or will it be placed in the living room or bedroom, where other activities take place?  Essentially, make sure the TV doesn't overpower the available space.  Consider TV screen size, which can range from 48-58 inch tvs and higher.

What types of TVs are there?

  • High definition TVs (HDTV) -- HDTV models have been around since the early 1990s.  Newer versions are ultra HD TVs or UHD TVs which are available in 4k ultra hd (4K UHD or 4k tv) and 8K UHD models.  The improvements are a cleaner and crisper picture.

  • Smart TVs -- These are traditional TVs that have an integrated internet and Web 2.0 features, so they offer streaming services for movies and music; you can also browse the internet and display photos on your smart TV.  Sam's Club often offers special deals on the best TV models, like the Samsung 50" Smart TV  or the Samsung 60" TV. These deals might a four-year protection plan, for example.
  • OLED TVs.  The O here stands for Organic.  OLED TVs have a better picture quality than LED TVs, but cost more. OLED TVs also work well in a bigger room because of the wider picture angle. QLED TVs are another smart TV.  The LED here stands for light emitting diode and the Q for quantom dot. In terms of picture quality both offer rich color and high resolution.  QLEDs cost less than OLEDs.
