Fully-bloomed red roses can signify lasting love, while budding, red roses are symbolic of new love.
- Yellow roses signify friendship, familiar love, and domestic happiness. Yellow roses are also given as an expression of sympathy. A bouquet of yellow roses would be appropriate to give to a graduate upon graduation day or as a congratulatory gesture.
