Powered by the same interchangeable 40 V EcoSharp® battery utilized by the other tools in the iON series, the iON8PS provides the cutting performance of a comparable gas- or electric-powered unit with the convenience and freedom of a lightweight (only 10.8 lbs!) cordless device.
Operation is simple: SLIDE the telescoping pole (adjustable from 6.2 ft to 9.8 ft) to your desired length, ADJUST its 30º rotatable head to the optimal cutting position, PUSH a button to power on, and WATCH its 8-inch self-lubricating Oregon cutting bar and chain make quick work out of overhanging tree limbs up to 7.1-inches thick, all while you stand safely on solid ground!
Unlike gas-powered tools, the iON8PS employs the most advanced lithium-ion battery technology to deliver up to 40 minutes of whisper-quiet runtime with zero carbon emissions for cleaner air.
Plus, the iON8PS comes equipped with a tool-less chain adjustment system for maintenance-free operation, a built-in safety switch to prevent accidental starting, and a protective sheath for safe blade storage.
