Since purchasing the smoker a few weeks ago its been working great here in the cold Midwest. This purchase was an upgrade from the electric smoker I had for a few years, which I had a very bad results trying to use it anytime below 40°F. Even below 20° this smoker has no problem maintaining temperature at low to medium burner setting, no need to block wind or insulate it from the outdoors. Completely happy with the product so far.

No Regrets

What a great smoker for the $$$. When together very easy uses standard bolts not metric,everything lined up had it up and running in no time. First time use after breakin food was awsome everyone love it . I did 3 whole chickensand 15 lbs of ribs. Smoke leaks around door but not bad did not effect the food at all. I was just asked about a smoker I told them this is the best bang for your $$$.

This is one great smoker. My first boston butt was smoked on a windy day (13 Mph winds) and all I had to do was block the wind below the fire box. It maintained perfect temps throughout the process. As to some other reviews I've read, the loss of smoke does not mean anything! The old smokehouses on the farm leaked smoke 10 times more than this smoker and all that really matters is the heat. You will have enough smoke. This is a quality built unit that should give you years of great service. My unit was well packaged and went together very easy. Highly recommend.

Best IMHO

this is my 2nd smoker,I do a lot of smoking from whole pork bellies(bacon),pastrami,canadian bacon,ribs,this thing works great,the only problem with it and smoke hollow co. knows about it is 1st or 2nd time used the wood/chip pans warp all out of shape,lucky for me i had a friend good at welding make me 2 new pans out of heavy gage steel,they now heat up faster and don't warp,other than that,I would reccomend this to anyone,beginer or master smoker

very good for the price

Smoker was easy to assemble (2 peoples required but I put it together alone) easy to use, two burners allow to keep temperature with one and heat wooden chips on a low flame on the second.
If you order it online - it is big, I mean BIG - I cannot imagine occasion for which I would fill it in completely.
Overall it is a great smoker, could not be happier with it.

After reading every review I could find on this smoker the only negative thing that concerned me was many people claimed they could not get the smoker under 230 degrees. Even though I like to smoke my salmon and tuna around 180 degrees I decided to buy this smoker anyway. The smoker came in a couple of days and was beautifully packaged and there was no damage at all. It assembled very easily and took about 45 minutes start to finish. After seasoning I did several tests and I was only able to get mine down to 220 degrees with only one burner on the low setting. THE FIX.... There is an area on the regulator between the HIGH and OFF that you can adjust the flame as low as you wish and I was able to easily get mine down to the 180 degrees I desire. Buy this smoker you will love it!

COLD SMOKING PROBLEM FIX!

I bought this smoker and I have been extremely pleased. I previously owned an electric smoker but switched to this gas unit. In three months I have smoked, brisket, pork roast, chicken drumsticks, whole chicken, whole turkey, and ribs three times. Even my wife is a huge fan. The unit is solid and built well. Only complaint is the wood boxes do warp after one time, but not sure that matters. It doesn't effect their performance. Temperature stays constant and easily controlled and there is room to cook over ten racks of ribs. I know because I have done it twice. They turned out amazing. The other huge plus for this smoker is the company that builds it is wonderful to work with. I wanted a cover so I called them and I spoke to a real person who helped me with my questions.

Great product

YOU simply can not get a better smoker in the price range. After LOTS of research I decided to give this beast a shot. I had high expectations given the overall reviews and it still managed to exceed them. Mine actually arrived perfect (Fed Ex didnt drop kick it all the way here!) and went together rather easily. I followed the instructions and seasoned it with ONE minor adjustment. Spray the inside with oil, wipe it down, then follow the instructions for seasoning. It will probably last a lot longer that way.

Temp control is outstanding and it seems to be quite efficient with propane. What more could you want?! All parts seem to be fairly well made, better than is typical of this price point anyways.

Single burner on just a hair below medium keeps it at 225 @ 65 - 75 degrees. Should not ever have an issue in cold weather which is more than I can say about most others I've tried.

Get this smoker, Big enough to feed all the neighbors and sure to impress!

Biggest bang for the buck!

Easy instructions, easy installation. I love the glass front for viewing the internal temperature. I followed the instructions for break-in and started smoking chicken, corn, polish sausage, and Cornish game hens. Great finished products 4 hours later. Can't wait to try some ribs! A great deal and look forward to years of service.

Good Value

I am not happy with the quality of the finish on this unit. It is a powder coated finish. But when I first purchase this item I did not use it for a few weeks. It was outside with the cover over the smoker. This was during the big dry spell we has last summer so no rain and low humidity. I notice rust forming in the corners. So I contacted the manufacture and they advise I go get some Rust-Oleum BBQ high temp paint and paint over the rusted areas, and they would send me a couple more rib racks for my trouble. Well after a few months the whole back side was rusted. The sent a replace upper section but that was scratch and dented. Felt like they did not care or believed me about the rust and just sent me a scrap top. This must be a manufacturing issue on their powder coat application. See attached photos, rust coming through and paint blisters and paint missing. You Judge for yourself.
