The TS400 Seculock uses True Print™ Technology that reads through the outer layer of skin to the live layer, below the surface, where the true print originates. It is relatively unaffected by contamination, calluses, dry or sweaty fingers or elderly fingerprints as compared to lesser quality "surface based" imaging technologies that can be spoofed easily. True Print is the only biometric fingerprint technology that can measure electrical characteristics of the real fingers.

The TS400 is only 5.5" tall and 3.75" wide for an unobtrusive appearance on any door. No electrical wiring is required, so it is not affected by weather conditions or power outages. The usual predrilled hole for regular deadbolt locks fits the TS400 for easy installation for left or right handed doors. Four AA Alkaline batteries will supply 5,000 uses before battery replacement is required. A convenient warning signal tells you it is time to change the batteries. If batteries fail, there is an easy backup battery feature. PIN (personal identification number) backup has a "conceal" feature for unauthorized on-lookers offers a "double" security option which requires a fingerprint and PIN combined to open. Inside occupants have a "Do Not Disturb" function and an emergency open hand lever. Forced entry break-in or tampering sets off an emergency alarm. For convenience, the manual locking feature can be set to automatic locking after the door has been closed for three seconds; no more worries about whether or not you remembered to lock up.
