Remington Bronze Cheyenne
This statue is the first action piece created by any sculptor where the artist, Frederic Remington, shows the Cheyenne Indian and horse in full gallop with none of the horse\'s feet touching the ground. This statue is reproduced in solid bronze, cast in a brown patina and then hand-rubbed to bring out detail and highlights. The statue is then mounted on a marble base with an etched brass plate. The incredible detail of each sculpture is a Remington hallmark.
Frederic Remington (1861 - 1909) depicted the life of the cowboy during 1880's and 1890's better perhaps than any other artist of his time. He thought of himself as a true citizen of the American West.
