Queen Mattress Buying Guide
Typically there are two mattress types:
- Foam Mattress – this type of mattress is made of PU foam and latex or memory foam. Because of the type of materials used in the construction of this type of mattress, it molds perfectly to body contours thus relieving pressure points and preventing restlessness.
- Sprung Mattress – this type of mattress has metal springs that provide effective support and comfort. The more the number of springs in a mattress, the better the support and comfort.
Choose a mattress with the right amount of firmness and comfort level to get a full night’s sleep. How firm should your mattress be? One general rule to follow when selecting the right firmness level is that the heavier you are, the more firm your queen-sized mattress should be.
Maintaining your Mattress
Air your mattress regularly by turning back the bed linen for a few hours. Latex and memory foam mattresses need to be rotated lengthways at least once a month to maximize its life, and sprung mattress need to be turned over regularly.
