Selection of Planters
There are different types of planters available, and each type of planter has its own advantages. Before you start shopping for planters, take a look at some tips on what type of planters you should choose and what type of planters will work best for your need. There are several factors you will need to consider before choosing planters: the planters you choose will depend on the type of plant you plan to place in the planters, the location where you plan to place the planters, and the aesthetics of the planters.
The size, type, and style of the planters is determined by the plant size, the weight of the plant, the plant’s watering needs, and the location of the planter. Choose planters that allow enough room for root growth, and depending on the location – whether you want to place the planters outdoors or indoors – you should choose planters with or without drainage (an indoor planter may not need a drainage hole as indoor plants may not need frequent watering; an outdoor planter will require drainage to drain the excess water out.) Planters are available in different types of materials as well, from porous material like terracotta planters to non-porous planters such as plastic planters. Choose planters that won’t rot or crack and can withstand the extreme cold in winter and intense heat during summer months.
You should also consider accessories like water saucers to not only protect the planters, but to also keep the water from completely draining away and to keep the roots moist.
