This new NX model with new proximity sensor keeps the lid from opening accidentally. The lid automatically closes three seconds after you walk away. A manual button keeps the lid open for extended jobs. This trashcan works with any standard tall kitchen trash bag and operates with included AC power adapter or 4 D batteries (batteries not included).
