The HC-8000 Plus features High Tech Pet's proprietary Pulsed Proportional Stimulus™ system. There are no ""zones"" or levels to adjust. Corrective shock stimulus is delivered in quick pulses. The rate of these pulses is automatically increased as your dog moves closer to the boundary wire. In this way, your dog gets the exact amount of stimulus required to make him retreat. It is also the most effective way to prevent your dog from attempting to run through the boundary.

The waterproof AC powered base station transmitter is suitable for indoor or outdoor mounting. It's the only dog fence transmitter that offers a round-the-clock, rechargeable battery back-up system so there's no need to worry if your power goes out. This life-saving feature keeps your dog safely contained and automatically recharges the optional battery (item 831604) when power is restored. Audible and visual wire break alarms and user-friendly, illuminated system status panel continuously monitor the condition of your wire loop, battery charge, power mode and overall system status. The unique Power Boost feature lets you add enough wire to encompass up to 30 acres while maintaining precise control of your field width (sometimes a problem with inferior systems). All-digital signal processing eliminates false triggering.

New, custom-engineered, Ultra-Wire is thicker overall and stronger than even heavy duty 18-gauge burial-grade wire. Its special, high-strength coating is resistant to sunlight, moisture and ground rot. Its extremely high pull-strength reduces wire breaks.

The all-new, ultra-slim, water-resistant RC-8 radio collar features built-in battery and shock indicator lamps and an attractive, yet ultra-tough poly-elastomer strap.
