Description

Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci's The Virgin of the Rocks is a beautiful example of his portraiture. One version of this painting hangs in the Louvre, first created around 1483-1486. An almost identical painting is in the National Gallery of London, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, probably before 1508.
