The Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries is an advanced technology that is lighter, safer, and longer-lasting than other consumer re-chargeable batteries. Compared to common lead-acid batteries, the LiFePO4 will last twice as long (8-10 years vs. 3-5, 1000 power cycles vs. 200-300) and is three times as light. The phosphate cathode used in the chemical reaction prevents thermal run-off and overheating. You can charge the EnergyBar 250 from a wall outlet or our DC-154 car adapter, but save money and the environment by charging with high-efficiency solar panels. The EnergyBar 250 pairs perfectly with our EP-55 solar panels, for environmentally-friendly charging wherever you are And because the LiFePO4 battery only self-discharges a minimal 0-2% per month, that solar charge can last for years without use.

The included hard shell plastic case is the perfect fit for your EnergyBar 250.  The EC-250 is a hard plastic case with a watertight seal. Your EnergyBar 250 and any other electronics inside are safe from the weather.  The foam inside the case is molded around the shape of the EnergyBar 250, meaning that it has padding for rough handling on your trek or while flying. It also sports two extra compartments for storing other valuable electronics. Make sure your phone or camera is treated as nicely as its battery.  

Weighing only 8 lbs. and a slim 2 in. tall, the EnergyBar 250 is easier to carry around than a laptop and multiple lithium batteries, or multiple charging devices. One device in your backpack does it all.
