When shopping for countertop appliances, check the specification of the appliance to ensure it meets all of your needs. Some of the factors to look out for include:

  • Power – Check the power output to see if the appliance can handle the task you have in mind for it.

  • Cord or Cordless – some appliances have corded or cordless options. Corded equipment offer more power, while cordless equipment offer more flexibility.

  • Attachments – Check the specifications to see what type of attachments are available with the model and choose an appliance that has all of the attachments you want; or, if you don’t want any of the attachments, then you can opt for a stand-alone model.

  • Clean Up – Cleaning up the appliance should be easy (Ensure that the appliance is unplugged from the power source before you wash it):
    • Read the specs to see how your appliance should be cleaned

    • If the appliance has detachable parts, check if they’re dishwasher safe
