A Large Array of Programmable Options
The menu allows for several different camera views. Each camera can be viewed individually or view four, six, eight, nine, ten, thirteen, or all sixteen cameras at once. No need for concern, all the cameras will be recording all the time as long as the record mode is on. The Pentaplex feature allows users to view cameras live, playback recordings, record, copy, and network simultaneously. There are four separate recording options: Continuous - the system will record 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; Alarm Sensor - the system will begin recording when an alarm is triggered (an external alarm sensor is required for this feature); Scheduled Recording – the DVR can be programmed to record only during specified time blocks; and Video Motion Detection - this setting allow you to choose which cameras to set for motion detection, the sensitivity of detection, and define what areas of the screen, or all of the screen, will trigger the system to record once it detects motion. This will not only save hard drive space, but also time spent viewing recordings. The system has a built in 1TB hard drive which will provide over one year of continuous recording depending on the programmable settings and if you need more recording capacity an additional hard disk drive can be added.
