CATALINA PLAY SET PLAY HOUSE

I bought this playhouse for my daughters and they love it. I picked this because I wanted a wooden playhouse. It is constructed of cedar and if very sturdy. The only down side it the amount of time it takes to assemble it. The instructions say that it will take between 4 - 8 hours. It took me about 6 hours to assemble the playhouse. I think that it is worth the time and it looks like it will hold up well over time.

Great playhouse if you have the time for assembly.

This house is very well thought out and the end result is impressive. Do bear in mind that the assembly of this house is not for the faint of heart and prepare yourself for the number of pieces in the box. It takes almost a whole day (with little helpers) to assemble this house, maybe less for one focused individual. And keep the first Aid kit on hand for blisters and knuckle abrasions!

We are very happy with this house and it was well worth the effort. The instructions are clear, the wood sections, screws and bolts are all clearly labeled and the end result is as clean and cute as the picture. Thumbs up all around!

Great little play house

It is truley a joy for the grandchildren to play it in for hours at a time, love the outcome, great value for my money. Easy to put together, love how it looks in the yard, but mostly great place for the little ones to hang out. We build a small deck to place it on, and the bench is awesome. Great new addition to the play area for the grand kids.

Grandkids love it

This was ordered for my yard- for my grandchildren. Product came quickly, and information online helped us to be prepared with proper tools. It is really a nice addition to the yard and 4, 6, 7 year old are thrilled. The window box is especially cute- we have planted African Violets in it.

Pleased with purchase. We were unable to locate any additional information on the playhouse online, but decided that Sam's return policy and free shipping was worth the gamble.

This product is far superior to the Woodland Cedar Playhouse that we were able to view in-Club. Better warranty, better quality (wood/hardware/stain). Taller door opening and better clearance. I can see our children playing in this house as long as they have interest, size will not play a factor.

Please note that the manual does state 4-8 hour, 2 person assembly. The assembly took my spouse and I 4 hours to complete. The instructions were very easy to follow; however, it will look overwhelming when you initially open the box.

We had one support that split during assembly and inquired if it were possible to receive an additional roof board (we did not pre-space the roof boards as the instructions suggested and ended up 1/2" short) Customer Service is sending all parts by UPS ground with no hassle.

Great Playhouse!

I put this together with the help of my mom and dad (a retired carpenter) for my daughter's birthday. Even with my dad's experience, this project was well over the top part of the time limit (8 hours) indicated in the instructions. So, be prepared for an all-day project ... or one that could be spread out over a couple of days.

Along with the labor, another slight disappointment was the dimensions of the house were somewhat smaller than indicated. The interior of the house measured 44 x 48 rather than the 48 x 54 indicated - I didn't realize those dimensions include the serving counter and perhaps where the roof peaks out.

All that being said - the materials for the house are solid, and it's a great addition to any backyard. I am definitely impressed with the quality. I'm glad I spent the money for a wooden house, and my kids (girl - 5 and boy - 9) love to hang out in it. My daughter has always loved playhouses so she is especially excited about having her own.

Kids love to play in it

This playhouse met my expectations for the price. My 5 yr old grand daughter loved it at first sight. She already put her play stove in the house and there is still pleanty of room for her a one or two friends.I put it up myself...directions were pretty easy to follow. It took me all day mostly due to heat breaks (it was a hot day) and pre-drilling everything.but it wasn't difficult. I did take a suggestion from another review and made a plateform to sit the playhouse on because it doesn't come with flooring. All together it was a fun project.

Great playhouse for my Grand daughter

The playhouse is cute. Thought it would be a little bigger. Several pieces of the roof and sides came split (the wood). The door didn't fit properly and we had to figure out a way to connect it properly.

Cute Playhouse

Pros:
Inside is very tall at peak, in case kids want you to get in.
Fits into scenery well.
Kids love it.

Cons:
Takes FOREVER to put together. (We got it Friday night and worked on it a few hours each day and finally had it done by Monday night)
You MUST predrill each hole before screwing together.
Needs refinishing immediately.
The instructions aren't put together well, you will be re-doing a few steps.
The wood is very thin, it will split easily.
