Eucalyptus is a hardwood that is excellent for outdoor furniture. It has a tight grain that makes it resistant to rot or the problems associated with temperature changes. This item is finished with a Polisten stain sealer that inhibits fungus, resists insects and acts as a water repellant. Over time your eucalyptus pieces will weather to a soft gray. If you wish to maintain the original color, applications of a hardwood oil or varnish will help, but please follow the manufacturer's instructions for preparation and application, as aged pieces will require different treatment versus new ones.
