Description

ABSCO Snow Frame Kit for Garden sheds with 80” Peak. If you live in the snow, consider the Snow Frame Kit to increase snow and wind loads for your ABSCO Garden Shed.

Specifications

  • Snow load on the garden shed with no snow frame: 9.7 pounds per square foot
  • Snow load on the garden shed with two snow frames: 20 pounds per square foot
  • Snow load on the garden shed with three snow frames: 26 pounds per square foot
Important Notes:
  • The weight of snow can vary significantly from area to area and even storm to storm. Colorado usually has dry light snow where up to 36” can weigh 10 pounds per square foot. California or New York usually has much heavier snow where 6” can weigh up to 10 lbs per square foot.
  • Snow load is figured with the garden shed door shut! Remove excess snow before opening garden shed door.
  • For best results, always remove excess snow for garden sheds.

Bags of weight were used to simulate the weight of snow and the sheds were assembled in accordance with instructions supplied by ABSCO. The ABSCO snow frames were also fitted in accordance with instructions supplied by ABSCO industries. The ABSCO sheds were erected and anchored to a level concrete slab in accordance with the ABSCO assembly instructions provided with the sheds. The calculations shown in the tables should be used as a guide only, as ABSCO industries, the wholesale distributors or the retail dealers accepts no responsibility, nor offers any warranty or guarantee for snow damage to your ABSCO shed or its contents.
