Just dial each zone and choose start times and watering duration.
With this simple approach, you can schedule watering cycles to match the needs of different areas: Irrigate full sun sections more often than shade areas. Water slopes or clay soils in short intervals to allow water to soak in, avoiding runoff. Water your grass more frequently than shrubs for best growing results. And help prevent runoff by setting popup sprays to water for shorter periods than impact sprinklers and rotors which have lower flow rates. These and other customized schedules are easy to set and review in plain language as you turn the dial to each zone.
Other sophisticated functions include one-touch seasonal adjustments, adjustable rain delay command, and built-in trouble-shooting of valves and wiring. The timer is also engineered for long-lasting use, offering protection against power surges and lightning strikes. It is paired with Rain Bird's Rain Sensor model CPRSDBEX featuring adjustable rainfall sensitivity to set the amount of precipitation that will suspend watering cycles. The sensor comes with 25 feet of #20, 2-conductor UV resistant wire and a rugged aluminum bracket for exterior mounting on buildings, fence or gutter.
