I buy several of these a year to replace aging battery back ups I have installed at various locations. They have never let me down when the power goes out. I get from 3 to 5 years on the battery and it protects my gear from surges, spikes and over voltage.

Best UPS

Previously I had an APC 1250va that worked flawlessly for many years. I wanted one that has the phone line protection like my last one so this was the closest I could find that could replace the old one at a price that I could afford. Sam's had the best price and next day after ordering I could pick it up in the store. APC 's have worked well for my uses ( I have 2 smaller ones also in other rooms of my house) so I have come to depend on this brand for protecting my electronic equipment.

Bought this one to replace a similar one

I bought this unit to replace one in which the batteries had died. I have it connected to my flat screen TV, my DirecTV receiver and VCR/DVD player to protect them from voltage surges and memory loss during power failures. I use a whole home backup generator and find that the voltage can have spikes and is dirty. This UPS unit has the wattage necessary to handle the whole load. My only regret is that the battery life is only 3-4 years and then they have to be replaced again.

Perfect UPS for your TV

I have always purchased APC Battery backups. Always a good product. I found this as a special on the Sam's website...and immediately purchased it. Delivered within two days...all good. Great job by Sam's delivering the goods. I highly recommend this Backup Battery / Surge protector to keep your electronics in order. In particular, if you have a computer with an 850W to 1000W power supply...this will work great.

This battery backup does its job flawlessly.  When I realized my old ones might just need new batteries the company was very responsive.

Works like it should

I am very familiar with APC products. My last battery back up lasted well over 10 years. I felt the cost was good for this model and it offered everything I was looking for. The delivery was fast and secure as well.

great size

Lightning took out my similar previous one but it protected the equipment so I bought a new one yesterday and when I got it home the side was cracked but the box was not damaged. SAM'S said to return it so back I went to get another one. All seemed well except for the confusion over the warranty.

Your website and the store said it has a 3 year warranty so I wanted to purchase a 3 year extended warranty but the store said it was not necessary because it had a 3 year warranty and it would not extend it to 6 years,,, just cover the same time that the manufacturer warranty did. Seems nuts to me?

Called the extended warranty people and all I got was a confused reply after being put on hold 2 or 3 times so don't know my options?

Just reviewed the instructions and the disk was missing but the instructions said to download the software if it was missing... the instructions also say it only has a 2 year warranty not a 3 year as advertised.

The unit seems to be working great but I have no idea what the warranty is and why SAM'S sells a 3 year extended warranty if it does not extend the warranty?

Totally confused about the warranty

Bought it this afternoon.  Won't come to life.  No sign of life.  The newer battery connect without a plug in is convenient.  If it would just come to life.  Back to Sam's for a 1 day exchange.  That's what is nice about the Club.  They stand behind what they sell!  I will review replacement tomorrow.  PS:  The APC instructions just keep getting harder to read.  You need a magnifying glass to see the control button icons.
