How do I refill a prescription online?
Visit our online pharmacy and click "Refill prescriptions for one person" or "Refill prescriptions for multiple people." Have your prescription bottle with you because you will need the information on the label. On the prescription refill page, you will be able to follow these steps.
Step 1: Create a samsclub.com pharmacy account if you do not already have one.
Step 2: Go to the "Refill Prescriptions" section of the samsclub.com pharmacy.
Step 3: Find your prescription number on your prescription's label. Prescription numbers appear on the left side of the label near the top. Your prescription label will list either an 11-digit number or a seven-digit number.
Step 4: Enter your prescription number(s). For 11-digit numbers, make sure you enter the last four digits that appear after the dash. For seven-digit numbers, you will need to enter the store number that appears on the right side of the prescription label near the top. If you have a lot of prescriptions to refill and you run out of fields, don't worry, you will be able to add more prescription numbers after Step 5.
Step 5: Choose a time to pick up your prescription. Your pick-up time options are based on pharmacy hours and available refills. Your prescription will be refilled at the same location you last had the prescription filled. This is not an appointment to pick your prescription up, it is simply the earliest time your prescription will be available. You may pick up your prescription anytime after the time you select, and it will be available for you to pick up for up to seven days after you request it.
When you click the "Submit Request" button, you will be taken to a page that confirms your refill request. If there are any problems with your refill request, you will be asked to verify your information and make changes.
Please review all of the information carefully to ensure that the information is correct and that we have no questions concerning your refill or selected pick-up time.
Once you have reviewed and/or updated your request, select the "Submit" button again. You will see the refill you requested in your "Online Prescription History."
Can I place a new prescription order online?
No. At this time we can only refill prescriptions that have already been placed at a Sam's Club pharmacy.
How soon will my prescriptions be ready?
Your prescription will be ready any time after the pick-up time you scheduled when you placed your refill request. To find your scheduled pick-up time, go to the Pharmacy section, click "My Prescriptions," and sign in. Your most recent refill requests will be listed by pharmacy location. Click the date you ordered your prescription on the chart at the bottom of the page to see when your prescription will be ready.
How many refills can I request at the same time?
You may submit as many refills as you need to. Just enter the number of prescriptions you need during the second step of the "Prescription Refill" process.
Can I move my prescription to a different pharmacy online?
No. At this time, to move a prescription to a different pharmacy you will need to call the pharmacy directly.
Can I place a refill request for someone else?
Yes. To place a refill for someone else just give us your name and phone number in the "Contact Information" area then enter the person's name from the prescription label in the Patient's Name section.
Can you send me a notification next time I need to refill a prescription?
Yes. You will be able to set a refill reminder for your prescriptions once you have requested a refill online. On your "My Prescriptions" page, click the "Create" button in the "Refill Reminders" column of the chart at the bottom of the page.
How do I find my prescription number?
Your prescription number is located on the label on your prescription bottle. It is an 11-digit or a seven-digit number located on the left side, near the top of your label.
Can I refill prescriptions at different Sam's Club pharmacies?
No, refill requests made online can only be refilled in the store in which it was last filled. If you choose to pick up the refill at a Sam's Club other than where you had the prescription filled last, please call the pharmacist at that Sam's Club and request that the pharmacist transfer the prescription for you. Be sure and have your prescription bottle with you when you call the pharmacist, as you will need the information on the bottle.
What does "pick-up time" mean?
Your "pick-up time" is not an appointment to pick your prescription up; it is simply the earliest time you can go to the pharmacy to get it. You can get your prescription anytime after the pick-up time you select, and it will be available for you to pick up for up to seven days after you requested it. Your pick-up time options are based on the pharmacy hours and available refills.

Why aren't all of my prescriptions listed in my history?
The prescriptions listed in your history are only the ones you have refilled online. Currently, we cannot list all of your Sam's Club prescriptions online.
How do I find the last time I refilled a specific prescription?
All of the prescriptions that you have refilled online are located on your "My Prescriptions" page. They are grouped according to the pharmacy where the prescriptions are located, and the most recent refill requests are listed first. Prescription numbers are located in the fourth column. Find a specific prescription number by paging through your refills until you see that number. The order date will be listed in the first column.
My history only lists the prescription number. How do I find out what the actual drug name is?
To find the actual name of a drug you will need to call your pharmacy. You can find your pharmacy's phone number by going to your "My Prescriptions" page and clicking the date of your prescription order on the chart at the bottom of the page.
If you have set up a Refill Reminder for this prescription, then you may have entered its name in the reminder. Just go to the "My Prescriptions" page and check the "Refill Reminders" column. The medicine name would be listed with the prescription details.
Will my personal prescription information be safe online?
Yes. We want you to feel completely secure when using the online pharmacy at samsclub.com. We use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which encrypts (or encodes) sensitive information before it is sent over the internet.
Where is the expiration date located on the prescription label?
The expiration date is located at the bottom of your prescription label. It is usually listed as part of the available refills information, for example "REFILL: 2 by 03/30/2009."
Can I get a refill reminder for someone else's prescription?
Yes. Refill reminders are available for any prescription that you have refilled online. If you signed into the pharmacy using your samsclub.com or online pharmacy account and refilled someone else's prescription, then it is available on your "My Prescriptions" page. Any reminder you set for this prescription will be sent to the e-mail address you signed in with.
Where do I send the refill reminders?
All Refill Reminders are sent to the e-mail address that was used when you signed in or registered.
How do I delete or change a refill reminder?
There is a list of your Refill Reminders on your "My Prescriptions" page. Each reminder lists the prescription's details and reminder dates. Just click the "Delete Reminder" button to cancel a reminder, or make changes to it in the space provided.
Will you remind me when my prescription is about to expire?
Yes. You will be notified when your reminder is about to expire prior to its expiration date.
How do I know which Sam's Club pharmacy is filling my prescription?
Your prescription will be refilled at the pharmacy where you last had your prescription filled. If you have already requested a refill online and aren't sure where that is, just go to your "My Prescriptions" page and click your prescription number in the fourth column. The pharmacy address will be listed in the box that appears.
The pharmacy didn't have my prescription -- why not?
Go to your "My Prescriptions" page and check where you placed your refill by clicking on your order date. Is this the same place you tried to pick it up? If so, perhaps there was a problem with your refill request or the pharmacy system. If there was a problem with your request and this pharmacy holds your prescription, then the pharmacist will refill your prescription for you on the spot.
Who contacts my doctor for refills?
If you have requested a refill that has expired or has run out of refills, the pharmacist will call your doctor directly to get authorization. Please allow extra time for your refill while the pharmacist attempts to contact your doctor.
Can I get a prescription from another pharmacy (such as Costco, Walgreen's, Rite Aid, etc.) refilled at a Sam's Club pharmacy?
Yes. Just call your Sam's Club pharmacist and ask that they transfer your prescription to your local Sam's Club pharmacy. You will need to give your Sam's Club pharmacist the information on your prescription bottle, including the store in which it was filled, the doctor's name and number, the drug name and the last date filled. Your friendly Sam's Club pharmacist will take it from there! You may also call your doctor directly and ask that they call your prescription in to the Sam's Club pharmacy.
