The Phluid Project launched in March 2018 - in NYC and online - to make gender-free apparel and accessories available worldwide. The Phluid Project’s Be PHLUID tote bag is a cream colored tote bag that spells out “Be Powerful, Human, Loving, Unique, Inspiring, Deserving” in an acrostic formation. The first letter of each word (Powerful, Human, Loving, Unique, Inspiring, Deserving), spells out PHLUID as an homage to the brand name of The Phluid Project and its continued mission to promote gender fluidity in clothing and accessories alike. The words Powerful, Human, Loving, Unique, Inspiring, Deserving appear stacked on top of each other - each word displayed in a different, consecutive color of the rainbow. The design begins with “Be” in red, followed by “Powerful” in orange, “Human” in yellow, “Loving” in green, “Unique” in a light pink, “Inspiring” in a light blue, and lastly “Deserving” in indigo. Intended to be loved by many, the gender-less marketing of the product encourages the tote bag to be used, worn, and styled by people of any and all genders in The Phluid Project’s own effort to revolutionize the clothing industry and break through gender binaries in the fashion universe, while still sharing the empowering message of fluidity.
