Dolby Atmos® is great for elevating the sound experience of certain movies and TV. But most content isn’t Atmos-encoded. For full immersion all the time, there’s Bose TrueSpace™ technology. No matter what you’re watching, TrueSpace™ intelligently analyzes signals other than Dolby Atmos®, like stereo or 5.1, and upmixes them to create an immersive multi-channel sound experience. Instruments, dialogue, and effects are separated, then placed around the room.

Connect to Wi-Fi® to access integrated music services and internet radio stations through the app. Or stream songs and video with Bluetooth®, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify® Connect, or Chromecast built-in. It’s your entertainment — you choose how you stream it.

Control with remote or app.

The Bose Music app gives you total control over the soundbar and your entertainment. In addition to giving you access to all your music in one place, app also let’s you manage Bose speakers and headphones, Bluetooth connections, and your preferences.
You can also use the included remote to power on the soundbar, change the volume, access different sources, and play/pause.

Soundbar 550 is just one way to fill your home with music. Group it with other Wi-Fi-enabled Bose speakers and soundbars for a seamless, whole-home audio experience. That could mean different songs in different rooms, or the same song throughout.

Private — or party — listening.

You can connect Soundbar 550 with compatible Bose Bluetooth speakers and headphones with Bose SimpleSync™.* Want to watch TV but not disturb others? The Bose Soundbar 550 delivers full immersion all on its own. But you can still add to the experience whenever you’re ready. Dial up low-end fullness with a wireless bass module or take spaciousness to another level with surround speakers. Or add both to round out a full home theater system.

Get started with the app.

Connect the soundbar to your TV using either HDMI™ eARC/ARC or the optical audio connection (both cables are included) and hook it up to power. The Bose Music app walks you through the rest. You can then manage Bose Wi-Fi-enabled products, update software, and browse all your music in one place.

This elegant and compact soundbar measures 27.5” wide (69.5 cm) by 2.25” (6 cm) tall and fits perfectly under any TV. Or choose the optional bracket to mount it on your wall (sold separately). The top surface is a sleek matte black and is complemented by a perforated wraparound metal grille — all designed to look great in your room.
